Scott thought about it for a few days until Avi asked him out for coffee before school. He didn't know what he was going to do, he felt conflicted. He loves Avi, he makes him so happy, but he's also very upset with him because Avi told the police about the incident he told him in confidence without permission.
The up side is that his teacher was arrested and they found evidence because his classroom had camera's set up. Scott felt embarrassed though. He couldn't even gather enough strength to protect himself, how is he supposed to protect his future husband?
Scott sat at his favorite table in Starbucks with a cup of tea in front of him as he waited for Avi to show up. He was ten minutes early, so he decided to just get something to drink as he waited. But ten minutes later, when it got to the time Avi asked to meet, he still hasn't showed. "Do you need another one, Scott?" A girl that was walking around putting used cups in a tub asked politely. "Yes please, Amy." Scott said before he followed her to the front. It was surprisingly empty.
Scott was hoping it was just traffic or something, so he waited. And he kept waiting, until he decided to call Avi. "Hey, I'm not sure where you are or anything, but um, I'm still at the coffee shop waiting for you and this is the only one in town so I know I'm at the right place. And you're just ten minutes late so it's not that bad, but will you please just call me? Thanks Avi." He said before he hung up.
Scott sighed as he set his phone down, picking up his tea to take a small sip. He looked at the time, one hour until he has to go to class, but Avi should be there long before then, so he waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Scott drank three large tea's as he waited. But he couldn't wait anymore, he has class in ten minutes. So he called Avi one last time, and got his voicemail. Scott was pissed. "I have waited over an hour for you and you still haven't come. Why set up a meeting if you don't come? I'm tired of waiting around for you and I have class. I'm pissed, Avi. Not upset, not angry, pissed." Scott said before he hung up and left the shop. He felt stupid for waiting this long for Avi to show.
