Scott got home late a few weeks later. He was working a late shift to earn more money. What he didn't expect was to come home and find Mitch standing in front of a table with a big smile and food set out. "Did I forget a birthday? Because I know it's not mine." Scott said slowly. Mitch smiled and walked up to him, pulling a chair out for the blonde. "I was thinking that- it's been a while since we just had a conversation that didn't involve some horrible event, so I wanted to have a night where we can talk about anything." Mitch smiled as Scott sat down.

They talked for hours about anything that could come to mind, dying of laughter with each other. Once they had calmed down, Scott poked at the food still on his plate, letting his shy side take over. He started doing that more often. "Scott, is everything okay?" Mitch asked, smiling a little when he saw the pair of bright blue eyes belonging to his roommate. "Y-yeah. It's just been a long day and I've been having a hard time focusing since the whole incident." Scott mumbled shyly. Mitch nodded and gently grabbed Scott's hand, "So I know this might be a little too soon after the attack, but I was- I was thinking we could try to go out? Like on a date?" Mitch shrugged, now it was his turn to be shy. Scott smiled widely, "I would love to date you." He said happily.
