It was a few days later when Scott texted Avi, asking him to come over and just walk in. He was curled up on his bed when Avi walked in with two large cups from Starbucks, "Hey, I brought you some tea." Avi said softly. "I'm ready to talk about it." Scott said softly as he slowly sat up. Avi handed Scott the tea when he sat up and took a seat next to him.
Scott took a deep breath, "I was- I was walking home because I didn't want to take a cab. But- one of my teachers stopped me and asked to talk to me really quick. I didn't want to be mean so I told him I would and I went to his room with him." He said as he started to cry, sighing when Avi pulled him close. "He pushed me into a wall and hit my head with something. I got really dizzy and he-" Scott began, stopping to breathe as he cried. "It's okay." Avi whispered softly. "He raped me." Scott cried sadly.
Avi held Scott as he cried, wrapping him in a blanket as he moved so they were laying down. "It'll be okay. It's okay, Scott." He said softly. Scott nodded sadly, "I don't want to go back." He whimpered, hiding his face in Avi's chest. "I know, hon, I know. You don't have to. We can find you another school." The deep-voiced man assured. Scott nodded sadly, "Will you stay and sleep with me? I keep having nightmares." He asked softly. Avi nodded, "Of course." He whispered.
