It was five days after the concert in the hospital parking lot and I was finally getting released. And of course, all the boys including Jayda were there to take me back home.
It was around noon and the Louis was convinced on taking me out to lunch. In the end, I finally said yes, tired of the hospital food they were feeding me. It was bland and nasty and well, I kinda don't wanna talk about it. It was gross.
At the moment, the doctor was giving me some final instructions.
"Alright, so Ellie, here is a prescription for a med that is for headaches and headaches only. It's a little stronger than a pain pill so take this if your head hurts. If the headache doesn't go away within an hour of you taking this medicine, I want you to come straight back. Am I clear?"
I nodded and took the slip of paper he gave me and he then looked at the boys and Jayda.
"Now who will be staying with her? She can't stay alone and I have a few prefered instructions you need to know."
All six of them raised their hands and I started cracking up.
He raised an eyebrow and looked at me and I said:
"Apparently they all are. Just take Jayda with you. She's the person I share my flat with."
He nodded and they both went out into the hallway, closing the door behind them.
I turned back to the boys who were grinning excitedly at me.
"What?" I asked raising an eyebrow. From the five days I had spent with them - half the time I was convincing them they didn't have to stay with me the whole time but they disagreed, I was just happy I got them to go and take a shower once a day - I found out that when they all had certain looks on their faces, they had something going on.
"Nothing," Zayn spoke up.
"Oh come on. I know you're lying."
No one spoke but they all just looked at me. I blushed slightly and shifted my weight in my chair.
I had on an outfit Jayda had picked out for me and truthfully, I wasn't a huge fan of it. It was khaki shorts, and a hot pink blouse that was two sizes too big and it clashed greatly with my skin tone. And for shoes, I had on white sandals with way too many straps. Then she had straigtened my hair but badly. It had major creases in it and still had wavy parts. And to put it all together, she added huge and I mean HUGE diamond studs to my ears. In all, it was truely hideous.
"Well..." Niall started but Louis hit his shoulder, hard.
"Niall! We said we wouldn't tell her!"
"Ow," he said, rubbing his shoulder, "She just seems-"
Louis hit him again.
"Why does everyone like hitting me!?!" he said, finally snapping. "Harry kept hitting me in the interview and you now! I have feelings you know!"
Everyone looked down for a minute as did I. At the same moment, Jayda and the doctor walked back into the room.
"Alright, Ms. Keddington, you're ready to leave."
I jumped up out of my chair but immediatly felt self consious when my blouse sagged down. I blushed and tried to adjust it. I ended up grabbing a sweatshirt I had there from being there and pulled it on over my head.
"Ready?" Liam asked.
I nodded and Louis pulled car keys out of his pocket and flipped the ring around his finger.
"Let's get outta here."
We all left for the door and made our way down to the parking lot, letting Niall lead the way to the car. Or well van. They brought a giant white SUV. Not at all creepy, am I right?
As we made our way to it, I trailed behind everyone and Harry fell back to walk next to me.
"Ellie, listen. I'm sorry."
No," I said plainly.
"Wait, what?" he asked, confused.
"No," I repeated.
He stopped talking for a minute. "What do you mean 'no'?"
I sighed and stopped walking, facing him. "What don't you get? You keep asking to be forgiven so I agree. But as soon as that happens, you push me away. I'm not going to be playing your little 'game' or whatever you're doing. It's bugging the hell out of me. So this time you aren't forgiven. And truthfully, after that first day, you've been a complete dick to me. I'm not sure why I even accepted your apology in the first place."
I started walking again and caught up to everyone else, sticking myself next to Jayda who smiled at me before going back to her conversation with Liam who was looking a slight bit annoyed.
I had to remember to tell Jayda to tone down the talking, but it was pushed to the back of my mind. I glanced behind me and saw Harry was still standing there. But he looked like a puppy that was kicked and was left out in the rain.
And not a part of me felt bad for him.
