"HELP!" Niall yelled, pounding his fists on the stainless steel doors.
I jumped up and did the same, "ANYBODY!"
Niall started pounding his shoulders against the door, but they didn't budge.
"Dammit," he cursed, "If I didn't press that button..."
I smiled, "I wouldn't be stuck with you."
He looked at me and took a few more hits.
Finally, he sat down next to me, though not too close.
"I'm sorry, " he mumbled, "I wasn't thinking."
I chuckled, "It's okay. Someone will find out soon enough. We'll be out of here in an hour. Tops."
"I love how you seem so sure of it."
I gaped at him, "You don't believe me? Mr. Niall Horan, I thought you knew better."
"I did mean, you know, I, uh," he stuttered, trying to find the right words to say.
I smirked, "I was kidding. I truthfully hope I'm right though.
"For our sake, I hope so too. I don't want to live the rest of my life in an elevator shaft."
"And you won't as long as we have power-"
"Don't jinx yourself," he laughed.
I nodded, "I won't, but as I was saying, as long as we have power-"
I was cut off again, but not by Niall. It was a crackling, a loud crackling at that.
I looked up and squinted slightly, looking at the ceiling that was covered in lights.
One in the back corner flickered and the whole row flashed out. Every row started flashing out and I tensed, the darker it became.
As soon as the last now went out, I heard Niall's voice.
"Shit."
"I couldn't of said it better myself," I put in.
I heard a slight laugh come from his direction.
And then there was silence.
"Ellie?" he nervous voice said, breaking the air.
"Hmm?"
"Do you, hehe, mind if we sat closer? I'm, uh, a little chilled."
I smiled, though he couldn't see it. "Sure."
The elevator shifted slightly and I felt a warm weight on the side of my thigh; his leg.
"Is, uh, this okay?"
"I's fine," I said and noticed and light coming from his pant's pocket. "Niall? What's that?"
He looked down and yelled, "Holy hell, my phone! We're saved!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out his iPhone.
Niall unlocked the screen and flew to his contacts and pressed 'Liam' and then speaker phone so I could listen in.
"Hello?" Liam's voice rang.
"Liam! Thank god you answered! Ellie and I-"
"Ellie?" he asked.
"Hi!" I piped up.
"Anyway," Niall continued, "Ellie and I are stuck in the elevator. We need help. The lights are off and we've been in here for about twenty minutes."
"Okay, okay, don't freak out. We'll go get help. Hang in there, mate," he finished and hung up.
Niall relocked his screen and stuffed it back into his pocket and looked at me. "Are you good?"
"Uh, yeah, I guess," I said and leaned back against the wall behind me. I straightened out my legs and the balls of my feet hit the other wall.
"Bit small?" he asked.
I chuckled, "Just a little."
"We shouldn't be in here long. Liam will be here soon."
"I know."
I fiddled with my hands in my lap and closed my eyes, a wave of tiredness falling over me. I leaned my head against the wall where the corners met. It was comfy.
I started doing the head - bob, drifting - off movement, earning a small laugh from Niall.
Already being half - asleep, I never responded, my head lolling to the other side and onto his shoulder. He didn't move or did I. I quickly fell into a full sleep, dreaming about the boy with the Irish accent.

A few hours later, I started to come to, my head resting on an uneven pillow. And through my eyelids, I saw lots of flashing. I blinked and opened my eyes and saw the flashes were cameras. And those cameras were the paparazzi.
I opened my eyes wider and looked around. I then realized I was still in the elevator. And the lumpy pillow - Niall's lap.
