Say You Like Me

Garmadon x Misako

This is an AU were Garmadon was never bitten by the Great Devourer.

A wave washed onto the beach and crashed around Misako's feet. Her hands sank into the sand behind her. Her brown hair billowed in the wind.

She raised her head, breathing in the wild sea air.

"Let me guess," Garmadon said playfully beside her. "It's the smell of wild ocean life!"

"Ocean life smells a lot like fish," Misako observed. "Which is probably horrible to you, but I love it!"

Garmadon nodded in agreement. "Smells horrible, but if you like it, I guess I have to deal with it."

Misako smiled but said not another word. The two sat silently for quite a while, the only sounds being the playful waves and the seagulls above them. The sun sat on the horizon, settling in for the day.

"Y'know, you never did say you liked me."

Misako glanced at Garmadon, and a hopefully not-so-visible blush appeared on her cheeks. Garmadon must have seen it because a glimmer of amusement flashed in his dark green eyes.

"Which is weird," he continued. "Because usually, people do say-"

He was interrupted by Misako's lips crashing against his. He jumped and squeaked, but his love instincts took over.

He pushed the back of Misako's head, deepening the kiss. She moaned and smiled against his sweet-tasting lips.

Garmadon pulled away and smiled. His eyes met Misako's loved-filled brown eyes.

"I love you," Misako said.

"I know you do," Garmadon responded. He leaned against Misako's side and gazed out to sea. The sunlight glimmered out on the horizon, giving the sea a lovely shine. Seagulls were still out, squawking and playing with others. The waves roared onto shore and crashed around both of the lovers' feet.

"I love you, too."
