Cole x Jay

"First one to the house wins!"

"You're on!"

It was a fairly a windy day in Ninjago City. The wind blew at 65 miles per hour. Barely anyone was out today, and if someone was to go out, they slipped on tons of clothes.

Jay and Cole dipped and darted over and up around poles and cars as they raced each other to get to their home. As of this moment, Jay was in the lead, his blue dragon's tail flicking Cole's brown dragon's face. And, just to tease Cole, Jay made his elemental dragon do a dip under Cole's dragon.

But poor Cole thought Jay crashed down onto the ground from the sudden gale of wind. He stopped in mid-air and glanced down at the ground, searching for his love. He panicked even more when he couldn't find Jay's blue shirt and light blue jeans anywhere on the pavement.

Meanwhile, Jay was silently sneaking up on the Earth ninja. His dragon's wing flaps were silent compared to the constant big blasts of wind. As he got closer to his boyfriend's dragon, the Lightning ninja began to stand and balance on his own dragon. Then, he jumped, and his dragon disappeared beneath him. A startled yelp came from the front of the dragon, and Cole lost his concentration. The dragon disappeared, sending both ninja falling.

"You potato!" Cole cursed Jay. "I though you fell! Don't do that!" He tried to slap Jay as the fell, but he missed and did an accidental flip in the air, sending a fear shiver down his back.

Jay smiled and re-made his dragon. He stopped falling as his blue dragon formed underneath him. He dipped down and let himself fall closer to the falling Earth ninja, and he reared up into the sky as Cole belly-flopped and the hard scales of the dragon.

He lifted himself up straight and crossed his arms, turning his body away from Jay. "I'm still mad at you," he mumbled. The wind roared, sending Cole sideways. He turned swiftly and hung onto Jay, burying his head into the side of his neck.

"No, you're not," Jay cooed, turning his neck so he felt Cole's head in between his shoulder to nuzzle him. His shaggy hair tickled his cheek, and a sweet giggle escaped his lips.

Jay turned his head to focus on getting them both home safely. Though, his mind was on something, or someone else; Cole. He realized he acted different when he was with Jay. With the team, weather playing video games or fighting, he was pretty much the same: He didn't smile as much, and he seemed to have a tired look in his eyes. But with Jay, he smiled more, and a constant sparkle was in his eyes; A sparkle of love. And it happened every time he was with Jay.

Jay set his jaw as they got closer to their home. Cole stayed in his position, still clutching him, but his face was on his shoulder now. A
small but noticeable snore escaped every time he inhaled. But Jay wasn't really paying attention to that.

He was thinking about how Cole was his. His, and only his. Jay would do anything in his own given power to protect Cole. Even if it meant sacrificing his own life.

Jay loved Cole, and he knew he loved him back.
