Together Always

Extra Note: I'm not supposed to be on my table. I'm grounded, I have homework, it's nighttime, and it's not the weekend or a special day off. I'm a friggen rebel XP

Lloyd paced back and forth in front of his team. He was biting his lip anxiously, and his hands were shaking. He had his eyes on the ground, not daring to look up anywhere. He was at his least favorite place in possibly the entire universe.

He and his team were at the Ninjago City hospital.

A good - or bad - reason was behind it, too. They were waiting to get called up. Up into their teammate's room. They had been all waiting for close to forty-five minutes, and they were starting to get worried. They could practically hear each other's hearts pounding anxiously in their chests.

What had happened to get Kai injured? No one wanted to go over that to anybody when they asked, for they were still shaken up by the near-death experience, and how Kai suddenly went from being furious at them all to a suddenly calm hero. And Lloyd still couldn't get over the fact that the spiky-haired ninja looked up at him with terrifyingly calm eyes, before they shut closed, possibly forever.

A nurse dressed in a white dress and heels came into the lobby. She stopped in front of Lloyd and his gang, and motioned to them to follow her. The green ninja and his team practically raced behind the nurse, up a flight of stairs, and to Kai's room. It was a nice, maroon red with a nightstand on the left side of him with a lamp sitting on top of it.

As quickly as she had went to go get them, she had left. She closed the door and went on to another patient, heels clicking and clacking in the distance.

Lloyd hesitantly walked up to the fire ninja and placed his head on his chest. It rose and fell rhythmically, and his heart pounded like normally. Though he was hooked up to an IV and it showed his heartbeats, Lloyd was glad to hear his heart for himself.

Oh, Kai, he thought. Please get better soon. He rubbed his hands over the bandages on his arms and lay a soft kiss on his forehead. Lloyd heard sniffles in the background, and he recognized one as Cole's, and the other as Jay's. Zane kinda stood there, not quite crying, but his face was scrunched up sadly.

Suddenly, soft hands touched Lloyd's back, causing him to flinch back. He looked up, and his eyes met Kai's light, lovely amber eyes.

Wait, if Kai was asleep, then how did his eyes meet Lloyd's?

The green ninja squealed in delight and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend (Very carefully, the author might add) and buried his head in his chest. He took in all his sweet, apple-ish scent, and sighed in relief. More arms wrapped around the two lovers, and some sobbing began to echo across the room. Everyone chuckled when they realized the crying wasn't coming from Jay, but Cole.

"I'm emotional!" He laughed through his happy sobs.

Lloyd himself had began to let relieved tears stray away from his eyes. Kai was alive, and though he had already knew, he couldn't push away the fact that he had almost lost his one and only partner.

Kai ran his hand through the blonde's hair. "Hey, hey," he cooed, gaining enough energy to sit up in his bed. "I'm here, Lloyd. It's okay." He moved his hand from Lloyd's hair and to his chin, pushing it up upward lightly so they could look in each other's eyes.

"I know you're here." Lloyd choked on his own words. "I just thought I lost you." He barely got the last word out before he broke down again and wrapped Kai, once more, in a loving embrace.

"Lloyd, you're such an idiot," the fire ninja teased. "You'll never loose me, even if I die. I'll always be watching over you." He cupped Lloyd's cheek in his hand and raised up his head to look him in his teary eyes. "We'll always be together, no matter what." Stretching his arms out as far as his achy muscles would let him, he hugged his entire team, and pecked Lloyd on his forehead.
