Famous Last Words

Kai x Skylor

Skylor lay in her bed, covered in her covers. It was close to 1:00, and she still couldn't fall asleep. She tried everything she could; she drank warm milk, listened to her soothing music, tried watching tv... Nothing worked.

Skylor sniffled and rolled over on her left side. She half expected the incident was all a dream, and her only love was still there on his side of the bed. But he wasn't. His spot was cold, like he was never there in the first place. All that was there were Skylor's own tears.

Looking at her love's empty spot were her tears main energy. Skylor let her tears fall into the bedsheets. If only she trained harder, the dreadful time would have been prevented. She felt like it could have been, at least.

I will never forget you. You can't be forgotten; you're too lovable, pretty, and special to be forgotten. I love you, Skylor. Those words hit Skylor hard. Every time those words were uttered, she couldn't help think about her love's sweet, tough voice, his amber eyes, his unique hair style, and the way his body swayed when he walked.

"I love you too, Kai," Skylor sniffled. "If only those weren't your last words."
