Demons and angels: exact opposites, and nobody could deny it. One liked peace, friendship, happiness; the other, mischievous behavior, useless alliances, dark, reckless days. Angels, they didn't like demons, and the same thing went with demons. So, they kept away from each other, their space, and stood harshly in their own lane.

Morro knew an angel - Echo the Angel. The two? Well, they were good friends, great friends, actually. Echo, he helped Morro with his raging temper and his abrupt mood swings. He helped him gain trustworthy friends that would help him with his temper when the angel could not.

There didn't seem to be a problem with this relationship. After all, angels were beings that protect and love, while demons didn't necessarily care about what their kind did, let alone hang out with a species completely different from their own.

The actual problem was that, despite demons not caring about their own kind, they forbid same-sex love.

And Morro was in love with Echo.

Forbidden romance was cliché. Trust Morro, he knew. But was it really forbidden? Echo was an angel, and angels accepted love of all kind: they are basically the demigods and demigoddesses of peaceful love, after all!

In order to keep this... whatever love this was secret, Morro was to visit Echo close to his home, or by a beautiful white tree. Morro was actually there now, waiting for Echo to come and get him, so they could begin their little... session.

Come on, where is he? Morro impatiently tapped his foot. Echo had never been late to pick up Morro from that tree.

"I swear if that angel ditched me..." The demon shook that thought away before it could get out of hand. Angels were about love, and love meant no ditching. But the problem was, did Echo even like him?

Morro growled. "Not that thought again! Out you go!" He harshly shook his head and tapped his temple, hating that thought that came upon him. His heart had began pressing against his chest in what felt like a bit of anxiety, so he took a deep breath and let it out. Echo was Echo; he kept his promises, whether he liked them or not.

"I see our sessions are paying off!"

Said demon nearly jumped out of his own ghostly black and green skin at the sudden sound of Echo's voice coming from above his head. He looked up just in time to see the angel come into vision. So he had been up over his head the entire time? That sneaky little bastard!

He huffed and crossed his arms. "You had me worried," he mumbled. "I thought you weren't coming."

"Morro, don't be ridiculous!" Echo floated down in front of his friend. "I would never ditch you! Who do you think I am, some type of demon?" He stopped abruptly.

"No offense taken, Echo."

He nodded and took Morro's hand in his own, smiling brightly. "Come on, then! Let's get this session started!" Echo tugged on Morro's hand and led him to the place where their sessions were.

Morro smiled a little. Echo may have gave the demon a startle, but he would always enjoy the time he spent with him during those private little sessions.
