Sending police video.
Jack
Watching it.
Loving it!
Ceci
Excellent!
Jack
When police get Dianne (Gary's wife) out of her car, the sound goes out of synch with the video, maybe a 1 second echo/delay. Not a problem today, but at trial it will be.
Ceci
Ok. Make notes on all issues, minor or big.
Body cams did go dark here and there
Jack
Ceci, I am so damn psyched. We're going to subpoena every cop to Monday's hearing and see if their testimony strays even further from the video truth.
BONUS. We found and heard where the police ride-along kid, Corey, is asked by Officer Hogarth, "Did you see him (Gary) kick me?" Corey responds, "I saw him like writhing himself and when he was coming around the back he like pulled away and he uh just disappeared." It's at ~3:31 on Hogarth's 2nd bodycam. It's a major new fact! No mention of Gary Attacking the police.
Corey was recently re-interviewed by the DA. Now he changed his story. Now he says he saw Gary kicking the police.

What do you need from us next? We're able to get back on the police video on Friday.
Jack
Cleaner Audio.
We just retained Police Chief Taylor as our use-of-force expert for the Defense.
Ceci
Got it. Agreed. And Awesome.
Another thing, we are still researching a work-around to "rip" audio tracks from video. Really hoping for that.

Hi
Jack
Hey Ceci!
Anne mentioned she talked you into reading Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. I have it on CD. Outstanding book.
Anne's finishing With the Old Breed, but I got her committed to read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. She'll be pissed at the white man for at least a month, maybe forever.

I don't know, I never do audio books
Jack
I'm locked down and pent up! We've been cranking at work since Atlanta and will be back at it all weekend, and thinking of going to the library and closing it down on a Friday night.
Ceci
Ok, home. I'm gonna take a disco nap because I'm playing a set later tonight.
Jack
Here's a bedtime story:
Not long ago, I go into a small grocery. Grab some fish for dinner. In the check-out line is a new girl at the register. She is young, 20s. Beautiful, like a farm girl, golden hair, big smile, sweet like whole milk. And she's smiling all over me, asking me questions, making a fuss. And for a milky farm beauty, she seems to have a little mischief in her eyes, and more at the corner of her grin. It finally, occurs to me that she is flirting. It catches me completely off guard. I look at her close. Sure enough, she appears to be flirting. The shock of it causes me to stutter, lose my place in the conversation, and blush. No lie, I BLUSH...
As I walk out of the store, puffed up and over-confident from the attention, I walk right into a glass door. My face smacks the door. Groaning at my un-coolness, I bumble out the exit, and disappear into the parking lot in shame.
A week later, I'm in court for the morning docket. The prisoners are all dressed in orange jumpsuits and sitting in the dock (the jury box). All their hands are cuffed. All their ankles are hobbled. All their faces are sad. Sitting last in the row of prisoners is the milky farm beauty. She gets called before the judge first. She has no lawyer. She is weeping.
I approach the podium and ask the Court to pass her case for a moment. The Judge grants the request. I talk to Milky. She is sobbing. She's charged with cutting her boyfriend. It's not her first case. She has two small sons. She is facing prison. She remembers me from the supermarket. She is embarrassed.
I get her bond reduced. Get her released. Find her a lawyer she can afford. She gets probation. Gets in a nursing school. She's on the straight and narrow. And I no longer feel bad about walking into a door.
Ceci! Just saw a documentary on the Occupy Wall Street movement. Guess which one of our clients is a father, a kingpin, and the star of the movement with no stars? I'll send you a link.

Hell Yeah! He's like the Occupy Wall Street Messiah.
The Prince of Peace & Justice. But he never once revealed his royalty to us.
[⭐Vote⭐ for peace and justice! It will be futile, but we could use the votes.]
