Alec's body went numb from his waist up, and just as quickly as it had frozen, a pulsing hot pain shot through him, he heard a scream in the distance. A blood curdling, horrifying scream, a moment later realize it was him making the sound. Brother Zachariah had yanked Magnus backwards, his hood falling back, (WARNING IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE INFERNAL DEVICES THEIR SHALL BE MINOR SPOILERAGE, is that even a word..? Ah, I don't care.)
Revealing dark hair streaked with silver and in this moment that seemed to be slowed in time Alec wondered why was he the only silent brother with hair?
He contacted heavily with the ground, he rolled on to his side, curling up, on tracking around the blade in his chest. His screams still ringing in his ears, the coppery taste of blood filling his mouth, he gave a shuddering cough and red dribbled down his chin. He gripped the scalpel, and gave a deep breath and quickly yanked the metal from his chest with an agonizing screech, more blood coming from his mouth, he gurgled choking upon it as it came never ending.
Someone called his name, and he looked up to see Isabelle scrawling a healing rune on to her forearm, rushing towards him, her face white and pinched. Kneeling bedsides him, she brought him into her lap as gently as she could, Alec yelping anyways. Izzy ripped off his shirt, the wound exposed to the light, she contacted her stele with the flesh of his chest. Alec's back arched upwards and Isabelle had to push him back down, she continued to rave on an irataze despite her brothers screaming.
Since when had a rune hurt him this much before? His first one maybe?
Isabelle leaned back, the marks on her face were now thin white lines to Alec's relief, he could feel the wound sealing itself, and gave out a cry at the sensation, saliva mixed with blood filling his mouth he coughed it up and it dripped down the side of his face. Isabelle quickly wiped it away with the hem of her shirt, and stroked back her brothers sweat and blood drench hair from his forehead.
"Thank the angel...your going to be okay...!!" The second half came out as a sob.
Alec tried to smile as best he could. A horrific gasp, as loud and screeching as a rusty hinge crossed the room. Magnus lay awake in brother Zachariah's arms. His tan face drain to the colour of milk, his mouth agape and his eyes wide, no longer black, but almost white with his small pupils. "Dear God...d-did I...?" He looked down at his hands, in disgust. He was on the verge of bursting into tears.
"Mags..." Alec croaked out, "it's alright Magnus, I'm-" Before Alec could finish Magnus had worked away from the silent brothers grip and ran out the door covering his face shamefully.
"MAGNUS!" Alec cried starting to get up, but with a sharp jolt going through him he fell back into Isabelle's lap.
"Alec don't move wait until the rune has taken full effect."
"But Isabelle!" Alec protested but stopped immediately at the tears rolling down his sisters cheeks. "Isabelle..."
She bent her head over her brother her eyes squinting shut, she sobbed. "You idiot, why did you do that? You could've been KILLED! You big, stupid idiot." She put her face in her hands crying hard.
Alec felt a great pang of sympathy and brotherly passion, he managed to sit up and wrap his arms around Isabelle. He put her face into his shoulder, as she wailed. He stroked her hair and her back comfortingly, his eyes welling up as well. When he spoke his voice cracked.
"Izzy."

Alec roamed the halls searching for Magnus, but he was no where to be found. He ran his hands nervously through his hair, "oh god..." When a blond headed figure bounded up behind him. "Alexander!!" Victoria exclaimed, "are you alright?! I heard what happened, are you bleeding?!"
"Yes, Victoria I'm fine!" He said a little snappish, concern sharpening his tone. Victoria flinched and looked down at her feet. Alec instantly felt bad, apologizing that it was More of his worried state talking then him.
"As long as you okay. I-" their was a loud bang that sound like someone was at the front door, Victoria lit up. "Everyone's bustling about at the moment, don't fret I'll go get it!"
As she turned Alec grabbed her by the wrist, "Victoria..." He leaned in pecking her on the cheek. "Thank you."
At this she blushed madly, Alec knew she still had acquired feelings for him, he knew it was hard to get over but he didn't mind. It wasn't like she forced herself upon him. With that she nodded curtly and headed off, raising her skirts hurrying down the hall.

Magnus stumbled into a vacant parking lot. How much had he had to drink? Not enough to forget what had happened, but enough to make him unable to see straight. He leaned against a metal light pole overcome by dizziness and wretched onto the pavement. God it was vile.
He fell to the ground head in his hands, how could he do this to Alec? He was horrible. He should at least be able to control a simple posessment, he was the high warlock of Brooklyn! Alec was probably hating him so much right now, their was definitely no way that ring would remain on his finger.
He had no tears left to cry and nothing left to throw up, alas he felt utterly empty inside, but he continued to dry heave in the spot besides him. He was a mess, not even a hot one. He was shivering In the cold midnight air with only the Tshirt from emailer and a lose pair of jeans he had managed to grab on his way out. He wore no shoes or socks. He curled into a ball, feeling hopeless and defeated.
He heard his name being chanted as if in a dream, but it wasn't if was only a few feet away from him. He looked up, a sick twist of horror and relief in his stomach at the blue eyes that stood before him.
Alec, in a windbreaker, track pants and high tops stood in front of him panting and breathless, "By the angel I ran all over New York looking for you."
Magnus stood and despite wanting to run to him he backed away from Alec, "Alexander stay away, I'm dangerous. I could turn any moment."
Alec's face flushed with colour, his jaw set and his voice filled with determination. "I don't care. I want to be with you, Magnus! No matter the cost! I promise we'll get through this mess together, no matter was hurdles we have to face!"
He gave a sad smile a held out his hand showing the sparkling silver band in the street light. "Oh and by the way I don't know of you heard, but I said yes."
Magnus thought there were no more tears to cry but clearly he had been wrong. He ran into Alec's arms and sobbed tears of joy into his lovers chest. Alec taking off his windbreaker wrapped it around Magnus's shoulders and took and extra pair of shoes from his backpack.
"Ready to go home?" Magnus nodded gratefully, and the two walked slowly home hand in hand beneath the glow of New York City.
