Alec strided; ran rather as fast as his feet could carry him. The feeling dwelled deep in his gut. An ominous feeling. How is it he knew where Victoria was going? Was it because he knew her well enough? Or was it he knew what it was like to be desperate? Knew what it was like to look at the one you love in pain, and immense hurting. Because her face in the courtroom had to plainly revealed her emotions. And Alec was terrified for her.
The Gard's steps clacked coldly beneath his feet; he braced his hands upon the great doors handles with all his might attempting to haul them open, yet his strenght alone was not enough.
A presence, following a voice swiftly appeared behind him. "Want some help?" He turned to gorgeous cat eyes. He smiled slightly.
"That would be nice. "
Together he and Magnus hauled back the Gard's ominous doors. The minute Alec stepped inside he knew something was horrible wrong. He didn't resist in the slightest as the urge to call out took over his being.
"VICTORIA? ! VICTORIA WHERE ARE YOU?!" He called at his throats limit. "VICTORIA?!"
Magnus lit hot blue sparks from his well painted fingertips; engulfing light into the dark corners of the rooms and corridors. The Gard had been completely abandoned. It seemed they were the only should here, but why was that?
Then they heard it, small and weak in the darkness. But still there all the same. "Help."
Alec rushed frantically to where the sound was coming from. There was no one else in the room so it was clearly coming from one of the downward spiraling staircases in the back. His thick soled boots banged heavily on the metal steps; each step he took took more air from his lungs. He was frightened to discover what await his eyes at the bottom of the staircase.
There she lay in a small frightened huddle, her small frame leaning over a darkened object. Despite the dreary lighting tears clearly shone upon her face. Her quiet sobs of "help me" racked the silence.
"Victoria. .?" Alec inquired quietly as he moved slowly towards he mourning friend. Her head shot up; no glamour, just a running nose and blood shot eyes. An unconscious male, with closed eyes and pale hair laid unmoving in her lap. Sebastian.
No words ran forth from Alec's dry lips; he was literally speechless. In this matter he had no idea how it was possibly to comfort someone.
"Hey, Victoria? Don't cry." He knelt in the hard tile ground besides her Magnus in pursuit. "Everything will be alright."
Victoria's tears produced more and more rapidly. "He promised me, he promised me he'd be okay."
"Who?" Alec asked gently.
"S-sebastian. " Her voice cracked as it attempted to un-hitch itself from the groove in her throat. "He promised he would release Jonathan. But he lied to me. He won't wake up, I call out to him, yet he won't wake up no matter what I try."
Magnus leaned down with great caution to the body of Sebastian/ Jonathan Morgenstern; tracing his fingers delicately across his chest and abdomen, his ear to his pale lips. He was sensing for something and Alec knew it.
As Magnus laid a hand over the heart, he jolted and paled. Quickly he recoiled from the body.
"What is it Mags?" Alec stood, concern Alvin his voice for his boyfriends sudden shock.
"Alec move away from that body right now. Victoria, get up. Hurry" Magnus's voiced was tight and strained with sheer panic.
"Why what's wrong with him?" Victoria croaked.
Magnus gulped down a lump in his throat, shuddering as he inhaled deeply. "He's still in there."
Before Alec could ask what Magnus meant Victoria exclaimed as the eyes of the body opened to pools of pitch black. The three of them were flung in several different directions by a supernatural force.
Everything seemed as if it was burning.
