Alec lay awake, unable to fall asleep. He was excited and scared all at once. Excited that he was at long last marrying the man he loved without his fathers disapproval breathing down his neck. Unlike Robert, Maryse was much more accepting, she understood that she couldn't change her son. And despite fretting about the Clave's laws she legitimately liked Magnus.
He was frightened for Magnus's well being.
He knew this dark magic coursing through Magnus's veins was dangerous, and he couldn't control when he was himself and when he was that....thing...Alec prayed to the angel Raziel that brother Zachariah was going to find something of good use with Catrina's assistance. Alec still didn't know how see knew Magnus.
"Can't sleep, huh?" A whisper tickled his ear. Alec jumped at its suddenness and turned to see Magnus's cat eyes glowing in the dark. He let out a chuckle, "Ha I guess so."
"Alexander....I'm afraid. What if I'm like this...forever?" He spoke quietly, and very un-Magnus like. Alec smiled pitifully at him and leaned into kiss him.
Magnus at first being taken aback by Alec's boldness melted into the kiss. Gradually allowing them the become deeper, trailing them down Alec's neck. Alec shuddering in pleasure at the sensation.
In the end Alec ended up rolled on top of him hands splayed on the warlocks sides, head leaned into his hard chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heart beat. "I won't let that happen Mags, I promise." He pressed his ring into Magnus's side causing his body to jerk with a grin. "We're together now. I'm not letting anything take us apart again."
Magnus ran a hand through the lightwood boy's dark locks, kissing him on the temple. "I love you my little shadowhunter." He cast his hand over Alec's back and the boy fell instantly deep into a magicked sleep.

The weather was gloomy and rainy but it didn't match the attitudes if the members of the New York institute! Brother Zachariah had been awake all night in the library with Catrina, and at last they had formed a possible solution.
They could transfer the heavenly fire from Jace and use a partial amount of it on Magnus to try to force this darkness from him. Catrina was the last who had come into the drawing room that morning. No one had seen her since the first day, and by the look of shock on her grey face when she entered Alec assumed no one had told her Magnus had awoken. (By the way guys, if you didn't know Catrina is a character Cassie has created in the bane chronicles I do not own her at all ;p)
Magnus looked up from the sofa at her small gasp, tea cup still in his long fingered hand, he laid it to the side. Magnus beamed. "Hello old friend."
Tears welled in Catrina's eyes as she ran to him, throwing her small arms around his shoulders, sobbing into the crook of his neck. Magnus stroking a hand through her short, thick white hair.
"I was so scared...You are the only one left Magnus. I never want to be alone. Not again." She continued to cry, as Magnus looked quite so breed by what she had said, and remained a silent comfort.
Brother Zachariah broke the silence with his mouth less voice, 'shall we begin the preparations-"
"Oh, one moment!" Victoria cut in. "I forgot to tell you, Alec, last night that knock at the door was for you." Victorias cheeks seemed to reddened remember.
"I see, who was it?" Alec questioned.
"Quite a beautiful fellow indeed, had the most unique eyes. He complimented me...he said if he could that the time out if his busy schedule he would've taken me to Central Park for a carriage ride right them and their!" She exclaimed.
Alec felt a pang of happiness for the poor girl. "That's lovely Victoria! What did he need from me?"
"Well, he needed to speak with you and Magnus about something urgent. Some elegant man by the name of, Sebastian Morgenstern."
