weeks later

"so how are you and zach" jade asks once we're in the uber.

"im good, hes good too" jade laughs loudly causing the uber driver to roll her eyes.

"i meant your relationship silly"

"we're not dating jade. we're just friends" i state. i knew this topic was bound to be brought up. everytime we hang out with the boys, im always ambushed with that question.

to be honest i dont know what zach and i are. hes always at my house or with me. today he wasnt though. hes flying back home to spend time with his family for 4th of july. same with corbyn and jonah. jack and daniel decidedto stay in LA to help eben with some music.

jade and i are on our way to charles' 4th of july pool party. my parents and joey came home last week. they were shocked to find out that ive been out and about. they thought i would be a hermit and stay inside the whole time. joey got overprotective once he saw all the pictures of zach and i. he's been bugging to meet him but i keep making up excuses as to why he cant.

the drive was short and we arrive within 15 minutes. i pay the uber driver and thank her. we walk up the path towards the house, hearing music and people. we walk through the back gate, seeing most of our friends and a few strangers. charles sees jade and comes running towards us, with a huge smile on his face. charles has been in love with jade since day they met. shes too oblivious to notice the heart eyes he has for her. he always tells me he won't ask her out because he knows it'll create tension if she rejects him.

"im glad you could make it" charles says more to jade than to me. i smile and wave to get his attention. he finally takes notice in my presence and laughs, "and thank you for coming too eva."

i walk away and head towards the table with chips. i grab a bowl and fill it up with all the different chips.

"oh my god eva hey" i look up and see deventity. im not the biggest fan of her. something about her gives me an odd feeling. i smille at her and say hello.

"how are you? i havent seen you since playlist"

"ive been good, focusing on school and modeling" why would she care?

"really? i havent seen any of your shoots" she smirks at me, before speaking again, "they must not be good considering they weren't posted around social media"

i stare at her and hold in my anger. i understand what shes trying to do.

"enough of me, what have you been up to? must not be a lot considering youre in your sisters shadow" i smile at her, before walking away. i feel something wet hit my back causing me to turn around. she drops the cup and smiles.

"YOU BITCH" i squeech before tackling her. she screams to get me off of her. i start punching her in the face and pulling her hair.

im forced to stop once i feel someones arms wrapped around my waist.

"LET GO OF ME" i try to get out of their grip but fail. i turn around and see tayler. i smile at him innocently and he just laughs. he drags to the patio and sits me on a chair.

"eva what are we going to do with you" he chuckles and sits next to me. hes always been an older brother to me.

"she started it" i sigh and rest my head on his shoulder.

"you better hope no one recorded that. many modeling agencies wont sign you if they see you've been in drama"

"i highly doubt anyone had time to process what was happening"

sources tell us there has been major tension between the 2 girls for months but this is the first time theyve ever physically fought.

the video was posted on a 'tea' page on instagram where it then spreaded to twitter, youtube, and snapchat.

in the video you can see miller walking away only to turn around quickly and tackle perkins. nobody knows the cause of the fight, just that perkins was left with a busted lip, bruised cheek, and swollen forehead.

millers brother, joey miller, is said to have known about the altercation and stated "its what she deserves" directing that at perkins.

what ever drama is happening between the 2 should be worked out quickly considering miller and perkins are said to be working on a tv show with Nickelodeon. many of the cast members would not like tension on set.

zach finishes reading the article and looks at me while we're on facetime. "why did you tackle her. lets start there."

"she started it, she kept irritating me so i snapped and told her shes in her sisters shadow so she splashed her drink on me, thats why i turned around and tackled her" the other boys aware of the situation. they were trying not to laugh when zach was explaining what had happened. zach is the only serious one who keeps saying what if you got seriously injured, what if the cops came, what if her sister jumped in.

i look at zach as he looks down. jade found the situation hilarious and i agree, the video is funny to watch.

"i just dont understand why youre okay with this happening eva. people who are interested in signing you will see this and not take you seriously" i zone out what he's saying. he's been the only one who's taken all of this serious. my own brother laughed about it and cheered me on. my parents were slightly upset but laughed as well.

"zach sweetie, im fine okay. i understand people wont sign me but there are other opportunities out there for me" he stares at me and shakes his head.

"you wouldnt understand how signing and that kind of stuff works. youre thinking everything will fall into place and everything is a happy ever after but its not. its the real world. i dont know, maybe you're better off staying in your brothers shadow" he says, looking at me and ends the facetime call.

tears brim my eyes as i take in his words. why would he even say that? i dont understand why he's taking it so personal. it doesnt affect his life.

i wipe my eyes before my hair into a bun. lets not stress over boys. lets focus on the good things in life.
