eva walks through the cold seattle streets, hand in hand with the boy who has helped her through her down days. she looks up and smiles at him. he leans down and pecks her lips quickly, making her giggle.
"did i ever tell you how much i love you?" he asks, tilting his head and smiling. she nods her head before speaking, "you remind me every chance you can get it."
"good, now don't you forget it" he swings their arms as they walk past the buildings. "should we head back to the hotel? its getting kinda dark and i don't need to put you in danger"
"can we go to target first? we're running low on skittles"
"okay but im paying and i'll let you but you buy me starbucks" eva nods her head and drags him across the street to go to the shopping center.
they walk past families and cars, seeing the big red logo. eva smiles up at him and winks playfully. he laughs at her attempt of being cute. they enter the crowded store and head towards the food section. they get to the candy aisle, disappointed to see that there are only tropical skittles. "WHO DID IT?! WHO TOOK ALL THE SKITTLES?!" eva runs towards the main aisle, looking for skittles in anyones shopping cart. she spots a cart at the end filled with skittles.
she looks at the boy and smiles before sprinting towards the cart. she hears him shouting her name, telling her to stop. she reaches the shopping cart and grabs a bag. she holds it up triumphantly but jumps when its ripped from her hands.
"sorry. those are ours." she turns around and stares at the blue eyed boy. she stays quiet as they stare at each other. "hello eva" daniel says finally. "hi daniel" she whispers.
"god eva you can't just run in a store" she looks at diego and lets out a sigh. "c'mon babe, there's probably skittles at the walgreens next to the hotel" daniel looks between the two of them. "babe?! wow we lose contact with you and you move on. wow eva. im proud"
"um thanks, anyways we gotta go. it was nice seeing you" she smiles at daniel before pulling diego away. "is that the daniel you were close to?" diego isn't the jealous type. he knows of eva's past and boy drama. when they met at target in april, he knew his love for her would never leave. seeing her in a polka dot raincoat and green crocs, he knew she would impact his life. he was scared to talk to her but when she asked him which play doh color she should get, he was forced to speak to her. he told her to get the red one but she laughed and put the play doh down. "i only asked for your help because i knew you wouldn't speak to me willingly. also you stare a lot. don't make it so obvious."
"do you remember how when we met you were wearing the polka dot raincoat?"
"ugh yes i lost it" they walk out of the store and head back towards the hotel. - "hey dudes where were you? i've been standing here, by myself for like 15 minutes" daniel says as he sees the others approaching him.
"the worker was showing us the new call of duty. we gotta buy it and OH you got the skittles" zach smiles and holds up the bags.
"yeah well i saw eva with her babe" all the guys gasp. "oh my god why is she in seattle?" jonah asks, looking at everyone else.
"babe? who? i thought she was single" corbyn looks slightly upset, not knowing how to react. she was always closer to corbyn so he was hurt that he wasn't told about her relationship status.
"um i think his name is like david or dallas wait no its dylan no that's not right its diego. yup diego" they all pull out their phones and go onto her instagram. they look through her followers and find him. "diego velazquez.. he's in that show on nickelodeon" jack laughs, "thats cute"
"how is that cute? you're weird" zach rolls his eyes and scrolls through diegos instagram.
"oooo is zachy jealous that his girlfriend moved on?" jonah pouts and daniel fake cries.
"no im not jealous. im glad she moved on. she deserved better and by the looks of their instagram posts together, they seem happy. that's what she needed. not a boy who constantly hurts her" he puts his phone away and pushes the shopping cart. "we have mario kart waiting"
