A SLAMMING HEADACHE is what wakes Emma Black from her slumber the next morning. She peels her eyes open and winces as the sun shines through the curtains, despite the fact that they are closed. She really needs to get darker curtains.

She tries to roll over to get out of bed, but something is gripping her waist and restricting her movement. She furrows her brow, confused, and she turns to see what it is. She sighs when she sees Jared Padalecki's beautiful sleeping face only inches away from hers.

Remembering the events of last night, Emma smiles widely. Usually she doesn't sleep with a guy until the third or fourth date, but seeing this beautiful man lying next to her, she doesn't regret a thing. Well, maybe drinking too much wine. That's going to give her a headache all day. But it's not like she has to work, given that it's still the weekend and all. She'll probably end up lying in bed all day.

However, the smell of sex still lingers in the air, reminding Emma that she needs a shower. She slowly and carefully peels Jared's thick muscly arm away from her waist. It takes a few tries since that sucker is locked around her like a vice and she is trying so hard not to wake him up.

Emma grabs her black robe off the back of her door and shrugs it on silently as she steps out into the living room.

"Hey," a voice says, startling Emma. She gasps and freezes, until she looks up and realizes that it's only Jensen who spoke, not some burglar who broke into her home.

"What are you doing here?" Emma asks, heart still racing from the fright her best friend just gave her. "It's not even seven yet. Did you even knock?" Jensen shrugs and digs a key out of his pocket, the one Emma gave him to her apartment shortly after she started living there.

"I thought it would be okay," he tells her. "I was just going to be in and out, I didn't mean to wake you. I was nearby and had some of your movies, thought I'd drop them off." Emma nods, understanding. She walks over to the counter that separates the living room and the small kitchen area and sits down at the stool, crossing her legs and putting her elbows on the counter.

"So?" Jensen asks, setting the pile of movies down on the counter next to them. He raises his eyebrows at her in question.

"What?" Emma asks in question. Jensen smirks.

"Last night was the date," he points out. Emma sighs. "How was it?" The girl shrugs in reply, not sure how to tell him that his best friend is right in the other room, and that they slept together last night, after one date.

"Pretty good," she shrugs as she gets off the stool and goes around the counter to pour herself a cup of coffee.

At that moment, Emma's bedroom door opens and Jared comes out, only wearing his boxers. The rest of his clothes are in his hands at his sides. He catches Emma's gaze across the room. "Hey, do you mind if I use your shower?" He asks.

"Sure, it's right in there," Emma points to the door on the right side of the room, where the toilet and bath are. He smiles at her and then walks over to the door.

"Hey, Jared," Jensen calls out, because his friend seemed to not notice him when he came out of the bedroom. Emma smiles as she hears Jared call out a faint 'hey' before shutting the bathroom door and turning the shower on. Jensen then turns to Emma with a huge grin on his face.

"Okay, it went really good," she admits, raising her eyebrows. Jensen chuckles and then knocks his fist against her shoulder in a playful and teasing way.

"You sly dog, you," he says to her. Emma feels a blush rise to her cheeks at the comment and sits back down at the stool. "How did that happen? And after the first date? That's so unlike you."

"It just happened," Emma tells Jensen. "Dinner was going nice, we were just having pleasant conversation, next thing I know, we were up here, tearing each other's clothes off." Jensen laughs as he rifles through the fridge for a bite  to eat as he didn't have any breakfast yet.

"How drunk were you?" Jensen asks, shoving a mini blueberry muffin in mouth.

"Just a little," Emma says honestly. "Enough to feel a buzz but not enough to not know what we were doing." Jensen laughs again, obviously very pleased with himself for hooking his two best friends up and succeeding.

"Well that's just..." Jensen starts, taking a brief pause as he chews his muffin. He holds up a finger to Emma, but drops it as he swallows the rest of the food in his mouth. He claps his hands together. "That's great. And to think... I was the mastermind behind it all," he adds proudly. "So when are you going out with him again?"

"Oh, I don't—" Emma starts, about to tell him that she doesn't think that's going to happen, but the bathroom door opens. Jared steps out, freshly washed and dressed in his clothes from last night.

"Hey, don't we have to go meet with the writers today?" Jared says to Jensen as he leans down and puts his shoes on. Jensen nearly chokes on his muffin at hearing this, and then he checks his watch.

"Shit, I forgot," Jensen curses, wiping his mouth. "We better get out of here if we want to get there in time." Emma's smile falters as she realizes that both boys are going to be leaving now.

"Yeah," Jensen agrees as he shoves the remnants of his muffin in his mouth. Emma makes a face at the sight. "I'll uh, call you when we're done, maybe we can have lunch or something," he tells Emma, noticing the sad look on her face. She nods in agreement as she takes a sip of her coffee.

"'Kay," she agrees, nodding. Then Jared walks over to her and speaks quietly, as if that would help keep Jensen from hearing.

"Maybe I'll come too," he tells her, smiling a little.

"Good," Emma says, lowering her voice to match his. Jared smiles wider and glances down at her lips before leaning in and pressing his mouth to hers in a quick goodbye kiss. Jared then leaves, giving Emma another smile before he walks out the door. Jensen lingers a moment, before pointing to himself with both of his hands proudly.

"The mastermind."
