SATURDAYNIGHT comes slowly, too slow for Emma's liking. At first, she didn't care for the idea of going out with Jared Padalecki, and only agreed to it because it seemed important to Jensen. But after watching the new episode of Supernatural on Thursday night, she couldn't help but get a little excited.
Jared is extremely attractive, something that Emma had not really taken notice of before. Going out with him is probably something a lot of girls want to do. With each passing moment, Emma gets even more excited about the upcoming date.
With the excitement, though, comes nervousness. Now, Emma is definitely not inexperienced when it comes to men; she has been on many dates since high school and stayed in a relationship with some of them, some of which went on for a while.
But Emma finds Jared much more intimidating than any other guy she has been with, mostly because he is famous, and she's never gone out with a famous person, unless you count Jensen. But these two aren't really dating.
This date is a big deal for Jensen, too, he even went to the lengths of making the reservations for Jared and Emma at some fancy Italian restaurant that Emma is unsure of how to pronounce. But this is okay with her. She's always open to trying new things, especially food. Always food.
On this particular Saturday, Emma does not have to be to work until nine o'clock, and she knows for a fact that Jensen does not work at all today, so she makes a stop at his apartment about an hour before work.
She arrives to his building and takes the elevator up to the third floor, easily finding his room. She taps three times at the door, wondering if Jensen would even answer. Sometimes on his days off, he likes to sleep in. Emma hopes today is not one of those days. She really wants to apologize for standing him up the previous night.
"Hang on," Emma smiles a little when she hears his tired, grumpy voice faintly reply from the other side of the door. Finally, after some fumbling about, Jensen opens the door, hair ruffled up messily from having just woken up. "Emma, hi."
"Morning, Jensen," Emma replies, stepping inside once Jensen moves aside for her. She closes the door behind her. "I felt bad about standing you up last night, so I want to take you to breakfast this morning. My treat."
Jensen is quiet for a moment, rubbing his face in a tired way before going to the small kitchen area and preparing himself a cup of coffee.
"So?" Emma presses, unsure if Jensen even wants to go or not. He takes a sip of steaming coffee.
"Yeah, one sec, let me change first." He disappears into his room and comes out almost five minutes later, no longer wearing sweatpants, but a pair of faded jeans and a black t-shirt. He finds a flannel hanging on the back of a chair in the living room and puts it on.
