ONCE THE COUPLE gets off the plane, they are both exhausted, far too exhausted for a plane ride where they did nothing but sit. They are too tired to do anything but sleep, which is exactly what they do when they get checked in to the hotel. If Emma wasn't so damn tired, she would say something nice about the place, especially because Jared picked it out.
When the two walk into the room, Emma drops her bags on the floor and sheds her clothes before flopping down on the bed.
Jared laughs a little as he shrugs off his jacket. "Tired, huh?" He says. She doesn't say anything, only groans in response. Jared turns out the lights and maneuvers through the dark, bumping into the edge of the bed before lying beside Emma. She turns her head towards him and smiles, even though her eyes are closed.
"What are you smiling about?" He asks, though there is a smile on his own face.
"I'm lucky to have you," she tells him. "I love you a lot."
"I love you too," Jared responds a moment later. He leans forward and kisses her slowly, knowing how tired she is. The two take each other's hands, staying like that until they fall asleep together.

"I mean, what are they like? Are they both tall, like you? Do you think they'll like me? Jared, what if they don't like me? I don't think they'll—"
"Holy shit, take a breath, babe," Jared cuts off Emma's rambling as he drives the car. They had to drive quite a ways from the hotel to his parents' house.
Emma inhales deeply and then releases it, pushing her fingers through her hair. Jared glances at her and frowns, wishing he could be the one doing that.
"What if they don't like me?" Emma says again, breaking the short silence. Jared huffs in frustration. He loves Emma very much, honestly, but hearing her doubt herself has got to be one of his least favorite things about her.
"They will," he says firmly. "I've said great things about you."
"That won't matter," she mumbles. "I'm crappy with parents." Jared frowns at her again, turning his eyes back to the road.
"I would think you wouldn't be so stressed out," Jared says. "You know, because of the way I woke you up this morning."
Emma blushes and turns away, trying to hide her smile. Her worries disappear briefly as she remembers waking up to the wonderful feelings created by Jared's mouth.
"Yeah, well," she says, shaking her head and sighing. "Sorry, but that only worked for a little while."
Jared grabs her hand with his. "Well, tonight we can go back to the hotel and do a lot more."
Emma smiles as he kisses his hand.
The two pull up into the driveway fifteen minutes later. It's a nice and cozy little house; Emma already feels more comfortable.
