EMMABLACK steps onto the set of Supernatural, clutching her purse to her side and holding a brown paper bag in the other. She smiles as she passes by one of the crew members. A year ago, she would have been scolded about randomly walking around on the set when she is not even in the show. By now, though, everyone is used to Emma making random appearances. These appearances are mostly dedicated to Emma's good friend, Jensen Ackles. The two have been close friends ever since they were kids.
Emma continues walking until she reaches Jensen's trailer, then stops. She knocks at the door three times, just to make sure it's okay to come in. She hears Jensen's voice from inside, yelling for her to come in.
"You don't have to knock, ya know," Jensen tells her as she steps inside the small trailer. She grins at him and holds up the brown paper bag.
"I brought food," Emma says. Jensen smiles as she holds the bag out to him. He happily takes it, opening it up to reveal the contents.
"Thank you," he says. Emma hums a little in acknowledgment as she hops up onto the small table, swinging her legs.
"So, are you finished for the day?" She asks, popping open a soda that was stored in Jensen's mini fridge. She knows she doesn't have to ask, given that all the other times she has raided his fridge, it was always more than okay with him.
"Got one more scene," Jensen responds. "It shouldn't take too long, though. Afterwards, you wanna go out for a beer or something?"
Emma smiles. "Yeah, sounds great. I'll just... wait in here." He gives her a pointed look, to which she raises her eyebrows. "What? I've been alone in your trailer before."
"Yeah, and you totaled it," he interjects. She gapes at him.
"Did not!" She exclaims. "I tripped and knocked over the lamp!" Jensen raises his eyebrows at his friend, reminding her that she broke a lot more than a lamp that day.
"Okay, okay!" She throws her hands into the air defensively. "But this time, I give you my word, I will not break a single thing. And if I do, I'll pay for it."
"Yeah, you said that the last time, too," Jensen points out.
She sighs heavily.
Jensen speaks again, "Okay, fine. But this is your last chance. If you break anything, I'm never letting you in here again."
"Fair enough," Emma agrees. "I won't let you down, J." He rolls his eyes a little before making his way to the door, tossing the brown bag in the trash on the way out.
"I'll be back in a few," he calls out before he steps outside and closes the door.
Emma is immediately hit with a feeling of loneliness. She looks at the clock and realizes that it is only four-thirty, and despite what Jensen said, it will probably be a while before she sees him again.
She gets to her feet and walks down the little aisle that leads to the bathroom in the back of the trailer. As she is walking, she reaches up to adjust her hair as it has begun to fall against her face. When she does this, her elbow knocks against the lamp, sending it to the floor with a crash.
She licks her lips and her eyes close for a brief second, annoyed at her own reckless actions.
"Damnit."

Once Jensen is finished with his scene, it is nearly two hours later. Emma quickly replaced the lamp so he would not notice that she broke it. When he came back in the trailer, he looked at it with a weird look, a little suspicious. However, when Emma only gave him a small smile, he can't bring himself to scold her. She had the heart to replace it, which is what matters to him.
The two find walk down to the corner where Huey's Place is. This is the place the two of them always go to after Jensen's day is finished, because they serve great drinks and the best pizza.
"I think we finished that last scene pretty quick, don't you?" Jensen says as the two friends sit down at a table. Emma scoffs.
"It was like, two hours, Jensen," she interjects. Jensen looks slightly offended.
"No, it definitely wasn't that long," Jensen scoffs, setting his elbows on the table and waving down a waitress.
"I'm telling you, it was," Emma argues. The waitress comes over and Jensen orders a small pizza for them to split, along with a couple beers.
"Well, I think there's something going on with Jared," Jensen says. Emma furrows her eyebrows.
"Who?" She wonders.
"Who is— do you not listen to a word I say, ever?" Jensen asks incredulously, tilting his head to the side. Emma shrugs. "Jared, the guy I work with? The guy I've been working with for the past two and a half years?"
"Oh, right, that one," Emma snaps her fingers. Her eyes light up as she sees the waitress approaching the table with their pizza and beer. She moves her hands back and forth together giddily as the food is placed down in front of them.
"Thank you!" She says happily to the waitress. The middle-aged woman smiles, already used to the young woman's bubbly attitude, since she comes in at least a few times a week.
"You're welcome, honey," she replies. "Enjoy the food, kiddos."
"Hey, you know what I think would be a great idea?" Jensen asks after the waitress has walked away from them. Emma hums as if to ask 'what', because her mouth of already full of pizza and she doesn't want to speak. "If you went out on a date... with Jared."
"What?!" Emma asks, completely taken off guard. Some of the pizza falls out of her mouth and onto her pants. She grabs for a napkin and wipes herself off. "That's crazy, Jensen! I don't even know him!"
"So?" Jensen says. "He's a really good guy, and you guys would be great together. Plus, neither of you are seeing anyone. I really think this would work out. You both deserve something good right now."
"Like I don't have something good right now?" Emma says. "I have a good job, good friends. I'm doing good. And Jared has the show. Seems like we're both doing pretty good right now."
Jensen sighs. "That's not the kind of good I meant, Em." The expression on her face turns serious, but she doesn't say anything, only twists the top off the beer bottle and takes a swig.
"I don't know," she finally says.
"How about..." Jensen starts talking again. "How about you go on one date with him— a blind date— and if you don't think he's right for you, then I'll leave it alone."
Emma sighs. "You mean that? One crappy date and you'll stop bugging me about this?" Jensen nods. "Alright, okay. But I'll be really busy with work for the rest of the week, so I can't do it till Saturday night."
