EMMA LAYS AROUND her apartment lazily until around eleven, discarding any of the alcohol left in her system out in the toilet and then taking pills for her headache. While last night certainly had it's moments, Emma wishes that she had not drank that much wine.

Jensen finally gives her a call at ten thirty, informing her that him and Jared are out of the meeting with the writers and that he wanted to meet her for lunch in a few hours. She agreed and hung up the phone, eager to lay back down while the pills do their work.

Emma gets dressed at noon, still feeling a little drowsy and achy, though she can tell that it is definitely starting to go away. She does not bother with make up or anything, just runs a brush through her hair and changes her clothes before heading out the door.

The boys are already at the pizza place at Emma and Jensen's usual table, with a couple of beer bottles in front of them. Emma smiles a little at the sight of them.

"Hey," Jensen says, smiling as she approaches them. She moves to sit next to Jensen as she isn't sure sitting next to Jared would send a good message. Jensen does not give her the option; he moves to the very edge of his seat and grins up at her, not giving her any space to sit down. She doesn't say anything, only sighs and sits down next to Jared with a smile.

"So," Emma begins, looking across the table at Jensen. "How was the meeting?"

"Boring," he replies with a heavy sigh. "Something about how this season is going to be shorter than the first two." This got Emma's attention quickly.

"What?" She replies, voice filled with worry and a little bit of anger. "They're not going to cancel, are they? They can't do that." Jensen shakes his head a little.

"No, not to my knowledge," he says, trying to ease his friend's anticipation. Her shoulders visibly relax at hearing this, but the worry is still faint. Jensen frowns.

"Emma, they wouldn't cancel without telling us," Jared voices his own thoughts, trying to ease her worry as well. "It's fine, they'll be tons of seasons before it's over." Emma thinks about this a moment, before nodding.

"Yeah, you're right," she says, brushing some of her loose brunette hair away from her face. "Where the hell is the pizza?" She asks, looking around the room. Jensen laughs.

"You did not rip your pants!" Emma exclaims, laughing at the story the boys are telling her. It's just too funny to be true. "No way," she adds, playfully hitting Jared on the shoulder. His cheeks are tinted pink in embarrassment because the story is about him. Emma cannot help but think how adorable he looks when he is embarrassed.

"Yeah, I really did," he says in confirmation. There's a small smile on his face, even though he is still a little embarrassed.

"Wow, that would suck," Emma says, sipping on her soda in between laughs. Jensen joined in on it, while Jared sat there with his cheeks turning red, not saying anything.

"Nah, it was hilarious," Jensen says, mouth half full with pizza. Emma scrunches her face up at him in disgust. He gets the message and stops laughing, taking a minute to chew. He would never admit it, but he listens to Emma better than he does his own mother.

"So, when are you two going to go out again?" Jensen asks bluntly after he's finished chewing. Jared and Emma both give him expressions of shock.

"What?" Jared asks, sure he didn't hear his friend correctly. But obviously, Jensen would be the one to say something like that. He is so blatant around both Emma and Jared. Emma is starting to get used to it, but even that surprised her.

"You had a great first date," Jensen comments, licking the grease from his fingers. "What's the deal there? When are you going out again?" Emma feels her face get warm. She does not remember a time she was so embarrassed.

"I suppose that's our business, not yours," Emma tells him, shocked at the way her own voice came out, firm and maybe even a little harsh. He raises his eyebrows, looking amused in response.

"Sure it is," he says, a mischievous glimmer in his eyes. Emma squints at him as he puts some money on the table and gets up, leaving without another word. On his way out, he gives Emma a small smirk, before pushing the door open and walking out.

"Why is he like that?" Emma wonders out loud, still watching the door, where Jensen was standing just a moment ago. Jared smiles a little as Emma gets out of her seat and moves across the table to sit across from Jared instead of beside him.

"He means well," Jared tells her, but she already knows this. "He just—"

"Yeah, I know," Emma cuts him off, shrugging with a smile. "I know Jensen." She grabs a half empty beer bottle in front of her and puts it to her lips, tipping it and taking a big drink.

"He's right, you know," Jared says. Emma meets his hazel eyes and crinkles her own in confusion. "We should go out again." The corner of Emma's mouth turns up and she places the beer bottle back on the table.

"Okay," she answers, thinking. "How about a movie?" She suggests.

"Sounds good," Jared says.
