Austin repeated," What are you doing out here?"
Tabitha's throat seemed to clog up. Did he see the spell?
"I just heard a scream, so I came out the window. And I found this tiara here." Tabitha picked up the gold tiara which had a ruby in the middle.
"Same, and may I see that tiara?" Austin asked. The thunder boomed. Rain only made Tabitha long for the bed. But Tabitha handed him the tiara.
Austin turned the tiara as if looking for a clue. His eyes widened, he froze. "This is Erica's tiara. Princess of Cepuzia."
"No, really?" Tabitha acted shocked. Clearly, Austin didn't see her cast the spell.
Austin's lip trembled. 'Yes. And look." he pointed to the ruby which was turning darker by the minute. "Dark magic. Shadow magic."
"Shadow magic?" Tabitha asked. "I never heard of it." Tabitha was pretty sure that she used dark magic.
"Yes, the forces of evil. They use that kind of magic." Austin's hair was now plastered to his face. A bone-chilling thunder echoed throughout the forest. Austin growled," How could they have come this close to my kingdom?"
Tabitha hid a cruel smile but covered it with fake sympathy," Darling. It's really wet out here. We must go back inside. I promise we will avenge Erica."
Austin looked at her, reassuringly. "Thank you. We will kill whoever did this, together."
Tabitha's spine shivered with a sudden surge of fear. If Austin found out it was her, would he really kill her?
