"No!" Tabitha cried as the guards advanced toward her. "Austin! Please!"
The guards grabbed Tabitha by her arms, each arm wrapped firmly by a guard's hand.
Austin didn't move. Pure shock and terror pulsed through his veins.
"Is it true?" He whispered over the chaos.
Tabitha froze. Time seemed to seep out of the clock. She only heard his shallow breathing and whispers. "Yes." Tabitha looked at the floor. "Austin, I'm sorry-"
A tear traced down Austin's face. "I trusted you, Tabitha."
His turquoise eyes gleamed with horror and sadness.
"Austin! I wanted a happy ending, together!" Tabitha cried. Pushing against the guards.
Austin shook his head, his caramel hair shaking with water droplets. "No, then that ending was all just a mistake." Austin began to walk away, but then looked back. "Lock her up."
Tabitha's heart got pierced with hatred. But not hatred for Austin. Not to the queen. But to herself. She hated herself for not being able to tell Austin from the start. She hated herself for being so nice. For trying to be nice. She let the guards carry her away, but not until a blast of gold magic trapped them into crystals. Tabitha turned her head to see her heroine.
"But nothing can stop love." Austin declared, with his glowing finger pointed at where the guards that were holding Tabitha hostage once stood.
