Your POV

Who said it's so wrong? Who made up these rules? It's so cruel. I'm from the surface and he's from the sea. Who cares? Why can't we all be treated as equal?

Ever since the four exchange students came from the sea one particular caught my eye.
"I'm Kaname Isaki, hello there."
I smiled making him feel welcomed.

Only all of the sudden a rude kid in our class decided to tease them. Telling them they stink like fish. I slouch back and sink in my chair. He's making this so embarrassing for them. I feel so bad. "Man, sea people are totally lame!"A boy next to him splats as the rest of the class laughs.

"I- I don't think so."I say to myself.

"AHHHH! Why does it stink in hear?"The one with brown hair caught our attention. "Hakari Sakishima! All of you surface people smell like pigs! It's nice to meet ya!"Hikari waves.

Everyone turns silent. All that could be herd was crickets. "Don't back down. Give it to them good."He incurages the red hair girl next to him. "I- I can't do anything like that!"She stutters.

"Just do what I say!"Hikari grabs her shoulders.

"Hey! Hikari!"Chisaki split them up.
"I am not gonna talk to you anymore, Hikari!"She yells at him. Hikari crosses his arms with a pouty face, "Well that's fine then!"

After all of that the class just questions what happened.

Our teacher was pretty mad at us after what we just did. I did absolutely nothing. I sigh resting my chin on my palm. All of the sudden they walked to the back and I felt someone walk by and sat behind me. I was stunned.

Slowly I turned around a bit. He seemed kind sad in a way. "I- I don't think sea people stink. He just said that to start things. I'd wouldn't pay attention to him."I say smiling causing the boys attention.

Crap, what the hell did you just do, Y/n?! He chuckles, "Thanks for that warm welcome."

I nod smiling, "Y- Y/n L/n by the way."I introduced myself trying to keep the conversation going. He gasped quitely, "Kaname Isaki if you didn't hear."

"I herd perfectly. You know, I find people living in the sea interesting. Like does it affect you in some sort of way while being hear on the surface?"I ask him without question.

"Well you see-"Kaname begins explaining. "Y/n, Kaname, do I have to send you to the printable?"My teacher snaps at us.
"N- No sir."I gulp stuttering. I hate causing attention to myself. "Well good then. Now as I was saying."He continued his lecture.

I sigh I relief. Only I spoke too soon. "Y/n is such a dweeb for talking to a guy that smell like fish."One girl whispers quietly. I froze in horror.

"Like you said, don't pay attention to them."Kaname smiles. I hummed. Oh how little did I know this very moment will be the start of a new friendship?
