Getting ready for you was easy. Joey was easy to impress, so you just wore the most comfortable thing you could find that would suit a bowling alley-
Soon after Joey arrived, wearing this-
You loved it.
Joey and you walked to the bowling arena and as soon as you walked in, it was absolute chaos. Kids were running around screaming and most of the place was packed. Joey quickly but gently took your hand and intertwined your fingers, then lead you to the front desk, where you both got your shoes and booked out a small bowling alley, right at the end where nobody else was.
Joey smiled at you, and you both made your way, still holding hands, to the alley.
Then, you had a conversation while putting your shoes on.
"I'm so gonna beat you," Joey smirked, taking his first shoe off roughly.
"No you won't," you smirked back.
"Fine, let's make a deal," he said, "If I win, I get to meet your parents."
You cringe. You always imagined how bad it would be for your parents to meet a boy you liked, and you always thought about how embarrassing it would be.
"But if I lose, I have to teach you to ride a skateboard," he adds.
"Ooh, that sounds fun. Sure, let's do it. But heads-up: you're going down, so don't cry when you hit the ground," you smirk, then walk over to put in your details into the machine.
"Oh, love, I wish I could show you how wrong you are right now," Joey purred, then went and grabbed a ball. That comment gave you butterflies in the stomach and goosebumps on your arms.
You shook it quickly, then watch Joey four, and then on his seconds turn hit five. Total of nine.
You smirked, but deep down felt like you were going to lose.
During the middle of the game, you were both on 43. Then Joey scored a spare, which then increased his score to 53.
You gulped. You needed ten to catch up.
Joey smirked at you, and you grabbed your ball. You bowled, and...
...You scored a strike!
Your mouth dangled open. Then you looked over at Joey, who was the same.
You began laughing, then you raced over to Joey and jumped in his arms. He dug his head into your neck, as your head rested on his shoulder.
"I think I'm going to win now," you smirk.
"I think not, love," Joey said, then bowled his last round.
He only scored 7.
His score was 60, and yours was 63.
Then, Joey went for the second round of his last turn of the game.
He scored the last 3, giving him an equal score of 63.
You literally needed one pin to win.
And guess what happened?
You scored another strike.

"I had a really great time, Joey," you smiled, and he smiled back.
"Even though I have to teach you how to ride a skateboard now," he replied, "And I still don't get to meet your parents."
"Joey, my parents aren't that exciting to meet," you laughed.
"Y/n," he said, staring deeply into your eyes, which immediately gave you butterflies.
"Yes, Joey?" you say, staring back.
He hugged you gently, and you both stood there hugging on your porch for a while.
"Joey, what's wrong?" you ask.
"Nothing, love. I was just wondering if you could be my girlfriend?" he whispered.
You froze.
Boyfriend. Girlfriend.
Joey wants to be that.
"Yes," you say immediately, then pull back to look at him, "Yes!"
He laughed, then you jumped into his arms...
You jumped down, and Joey stared at you intently. Then he leaned down and softly kissed your lips.
Another thing you love about Joey. How gentle he is with you.
"I love you," he whispers in the kiss, then you kiss him more.
"I love you too," you smile, then hug him once more before leaving to go inside.
