This is what I think would have happened if Jaden had stayed with Chazz when he was yelling at himself in the mirror before the school duel.

Rivalshipping Edition.

"Man, if I'd known I was gonna be on national TV, I woulda combed my hair!" Jaden yelled as he ran down the hall, hairspray in one hand and brush in the other. "I might have even washed it! I maybe would've even showered!"

"MAN UP, CHAZZ!"

Jaden skidded to a stop. "Huh?"

"Man up!"

Jaden crept up to the bathroom door, listening.

"Come on! You've got to show them that Chazz Princeton is no slacker!"

Chazz was standing in front of the mirror, giving himself a pep talk! Jaden poked his head around the door to listen more intently.

"That you're worthy of the Princeton name! That you.....you can win, and that you can keep winning! Over and over, that you're the best!"

The ravenette sank to the floor and began to breathe more heavily. "You've got to do your part, Chazz. You've got to show them that you're supreme! It's your duty! It's the plan!"

Jaden started to back up, but Chazz's next words stopped him in his tracks. "Now go and win. Go and win. GO AND WIN!"

"Chazz?"

Chazz's head lifted up and he turned around. Jaden didn't know how his feet had marched him to the door, where he was in full view of Chazz's stormy eyes.

"What are you doing here, you Slifer slacker?" Chazz snapped.

"I just wanted to check in on you. I heard you yelling and I thought-"

"GET OUT!" Chazz yelled, seizing a bar of soap and throwing it at Jaden. The brunette sidestepped it and watched the soap clatter to the floor. "GET. OUT!!!!!"

Jaden took a step into the bathroom. "Chazz, what's going on?"

"OUT!" Chazz flew into a rage, grabbing every loose object around the bathroom and throwing it at his rival.

After there were no more things left for him to throw, he growled and dove at Jaden. The two slipped to the floor, Jaden frantically defending against Chazz's punches. "Chazz, stop!"

Finally, Jaden got a leg around Chazz's waist and flipped them over, pinning Chazz's wrists and legs to the ground. The ravenette growled and thrashed but Jaden held him down. "Stop, Chazz. Just stop struggling. I'm here if you need to talk."

Chazz froze mid-struggle. "What?"

"I just said I want to talk." Jaden let go of Chazz's wrists, climbing off him. Chazz sat up, face down to hide something.

"Is everything okay, Chazz?" Jaden asked, tilting Chazz's chin up, but gasped. 

Tears were running full force down Chazz's face. "S-Slacker.....go away."

Jaden's eyes widened, and soon he was crying too. "C-Chazz.....please stop.....I don't like seeing you cry.....I care about you, all right?"

Chazz just sobbed harder. "No.....you don't. No one cares about me! Not even my own brothers! They just want power, fame, fortune, money! And I can't give them any of tha-"

Jaden grabbed the front of Chazz's North Academy jacket and kissed him firmly. "Shut. Up," he muttered.

Chazz froze, tears stopping. Jaden Yuki. His own rival and archnemisis was.....kissing him?!?!

When Jaden finally unlocked his lips from Chazz's, both were panting for air. "I.....I love you, Chazz," Jaden whispered.

Chazz stared at Jaden, then jumped to his feet. "Nice try, slacker! I know that's not how you really feel! Thanks for trying, but I'm smarter than to think you really- mmph."

During the ravenette's little speech, Jaden had stood and kissed him again. "Really and truly, Chazz. I love you."

A blush crept over Chazz's face, even though he was fighting it. "I.....Jaden."

Jaden's face fell and he let go of Chazz. "That's all right. I understand." He left the bathroom and dashed to the arena, crying. He doesn't love me back. I knew it.

Chazz stood in the center of the bathroom, watching Jaden go. "That Slifer Slacker......" He fell to his knees again, staring at nothing.

Time skip to end of duel

Jagger and Slade started to walk off the duel stage before Chazz yelled, "Wait!"

The not-so-dynamic duo turned around, confused looks on their faces.

"Since you already disowned me, I figured I couldn't get off much worse if I did this!"

He turned and strode the five yard distance between him and Jaden.

"Slacker, I have something pretty damn important to say, so listen up."

Jaden's head tilted curiously to the side. Chazz was commandeering his whole attention. For once his mind wasn't wandering.

Without warning, Chazz grabbed the lapel of Jaden's jacket and kissed him.

Passionately.

Everyone in the arena gasped. Chazz Princeton falling for Jaden Yuki? It wasn't possible!

Apparently it was. Jaden's heart leapt around twenty feet, and he happily wrapped his arms around Chazz's neck. The two continued kissing until Syrus yanked Jaden back. "All right, break it up!"

"Atticus, put that video camera away," Alexis said to her brother. Jaden and Chazz ignored her, lost in their own little world.

Long story short, Chazz promised to never leave Jaden's side again, and so he stayed at Duel Academy.
