Chapter 13: April Fools Training Pt 1

Naruto's POV

We packed all the paint balloons and looked at the note that Kaitlyn left behind for us, it said

A stone is placed on top of its head

That is where I will wait for you instead.

"What? She tells us in riddles, I'm terrible at those..." I complained

"hm? I think I know" Sasuke announced

"Wait you do! What is it? What's the first checkpoint?" I asked

"It's actually simple, the note says that...

... it's the cemetery. The place where loved one's rest, that line is referring to a deceased person. A stone is placed on top of its head, that is the grave stone you place on top of the grave's head."

"Wow!" I applauded him "Come on! let's go and get Kai-chan, if we get her on the first try maybe we'll get a reward! I can't wait to prank her and get that reward. Training will be easy!" I said excitedly

"Don't get too cocky, she's our trainer for reason."

"Still we can get her if we just hesitate all the time."

"True"

"Uhm, Wait did you just agree with me." I questioned and he just ignored me

"Come on loser, let's get going."

We left the training grounds and headed off to the graveyard, passing people and some kids on the way. Sasuke was in front and I decide to make this into a little race, I ran ahead of him and looked back

"First one there gets to go against Kai-chan first!" I challenged, and he started running faster

"I'm going to get there first! Loser!" he challenged back and we started running faster and faster

We got to the grave yard really fast and looked around to find Kaitlyn, we searched and saw a man with white hair, a mask covering most of his face and a leaf head band covering his left eye. Sasuke and me walked up to the guy to ask him if he saw her

"Hey mister!"

"Hm? Can I help you?"

"Have you seen someone with long black hair and a sword on their lower back?"

"hmmm...? Oh, yes I did, he told me to give you this." He handed us another note, it said

Nice job guys, you figured out my note

Now you will have to find out where I'm hiding

Just think about my first note and you'll find me.

"Yeah, it's her note alright." Sasuke said

"But what does she mean? How are we supposed to find her?" I asked completely confused again

"Um, could you tell me what's going on?" the man with white hair asked, we turned towards him

"Sorry we forgot about you, what was your question?"

"What is it that you're doing?"

"Were here training! We have to find Kai-chan and get her with this" I showed him the paint balloon

"Huh?"

"It's for April Fools, we have to track her down and prank her, she has four places for us to find her, this is the first checkpoint." Sasuke explained

"I see, can I have a look at that note" the white head said, Sasuke handed both notes to him and read them

"Say mister do you know what it means?" I asked him

"We searched the entire place but nothing?" Sasuke said

"Well... look at what they say here,

That is where I will wait for you instead.'"

"Yeah?" I said

"it's not just talking about the grave yard, it's also talking about were their hiding in the grave yard." He said, me and Sasuke just thought hard about what he said

"I got it, Naruto! When you were looking around did you see a grave stone that looked off." Sasuke demanded then asked

"Huh? Why?" I said with a confused look

"It's a Grave Stone, she's disguised as a grave stone." He finally clarified

"I get it! Alright let's go look." I said determination in my eyes

We searched the place trying to find a gravestone that look's different, and that's when I realized that one of the gravestone's had a fire symbol like the one Kaitlyn has on her arm.

"Sasuke! Over here!" I shouted to him to come over

"What is it?" he asked

"I think it's this one, it has the same symbol Kaitlyn wears on her arm." I explained and he just nodded his head understand what it is we do now.

We gabbed a paint balloon and got ready, we threw the paint balloon at the grave stone and it transformed back to Kaitlyn and she dodged them.

"So, you figured it out, good going Naru-kun and Sasu-chan, now try and get me." She said with a smirk slowly growing on her face.

We threw more and more of them but she kept dodging and slashing them with her sword, after throwing paint balloons for about an hour we were exulted.

"Time's up!" she shouted

"What?"

"I think now is about time for me to go to the next check point." She then jumped away from us "Hope you guys can find the next place but I should warn you the riddles will get harder as you continue, see ya later!" and poff she was gone and there was another note and some more paint balloons.

"AWW... MAN... she got away, and we didn't even hit her once." I complained, frustrated at not getting her

"We still have three more check points left, you're not going to give up now are you, well if you are I guess I could get her all by myself since your way too weak to continue." Sasuke just tried to get me mad with what he said and with the stupid smirk on his face, and he succeeded

"WHAT DID YOU SAY! NO WAY AM I GOING TO GIVE UP! WATCH ME I'L SHOW YOU JUST HOW MUCH BETTER I AM THEN YOU!" now I was just as determined as before "COME ON! WHAT'S THE NEXT CLUE!"
