Should I call it
A wolf in sheep's clothing?
A predator pretending to be pray.
The criminal acting as the victim.
                              Call it
Partners in crime.
                              Living like spoiled royalty,
While your paper faces paint the halls in our minds?
                              Should I call it
Plastic promises?
Seeing the mirror being your back,
You fingers crossed.
I wish I had a song to tell you I love you
I would call it Dad's song
                              But you aren't dead
And you don't deserve it.
                              Call it a bitch
That I will burn down
                              Because I will never
Cross that bridge again
                              Should I call it
No more excuses
                              Because you have no plan
Or way to react.
                              Why should I worry
At all.
                              I call it history
Because that's what it needs to be
So it is better for you
And me
Should I call myself the bad guy
Because I stole the moon
                              And made the stars align
And you still managed to see a monster
                              A nightmare.
A freak show.
Well I won't live my life afraid
Because this isn't what I want
                              So just admit it
This tug of war is over
                              No more jack and Jill
No more time to play the weak
                              When you're the killer
And remember I am a diamond girl
You may have had me hypnotized
But I hear you spewing that bull shit
You can no longer use me
I'm not a crutch
AN: yes this it 100% influenced by Set It Off. I do not take credit for coming up with all of the lines, because I think 98% of them are variations of lines in their songs, but I put the words together this way for a reason, and I do not feel guilty for using their Dad's song the way I did. Do not think for a second that that means my heart doesn't shatter for Cody every time I hear it, or that I can't relate. I hope you like this collection of names and lines from my all time FAVORITE band.
