He tastes the salty water
The rain drops on the cliffs
He kisses her cheek bones
Her jaw line
Softly runs his finger over her eyelids,
Feeling the tickle of her lashes
And wishing he could take the pain away
"You're okay"
He whispers,
She doesn't hear
Through her crooked dream
He wants to take the tears away
Instead he touches her lips
The tip of his finger lingering.
