"please wake up, sooyun," yoongi pleads as he holds her unconscious hand.
the girl had been unconscious for the past few days after her attempt. her heart was trying its best to keep her alive, but required help from machines.
"god, this is all my fault," he shakes his head. "i could've drove faster. i could've taken a different route. i could've ran."
yoongi hadn't left her side since she was first admitted, except to use the bathroom.
the doctors and nurses tried convincing him to go home and get some rest, but he insisted on staying with sooyun. if he left, he risked not seeing her ever again.
"i can't lose you too," he mutters as he thumb lightly draws circles on her limp hand. "everything's fine. you're fine. we're fine."
there's a knock on the door.
hoseok's head peeks in. "hey, yoongs," he greets.
yoongi nods. hoseok comes in, followed by namjoon, taehyung, and jungkook.
"has she woken up yet?" namjoon asks.
"does it look like it?" jungkook sarcastically says, earning a nudge from taehyung.
"no," yoongi shakes his head.
"how's her heart rate?" hoseok asks.
"getting slower by the minute."
"even with the machines?"
yoongi nods, resulting to intertwining his fingers with sooyun's lifeless ones.
"does she know about your whole affection thing?" namjoon asks.
yoongi shakes his head. "i never got to tell her. she was unconscious when i finally had the guts to."
namjoon nods understandingly.
yoongi smiles sadly as he looks at her on the hospital bed. "at least she's not hurting," he says before correcting himself. "physically hurting, i mean."
"it's such a shame," taehyung comments.
"yeah, i liked noona," jungkook adds.
"what finally pushed her to end it all?" namjoon asks.
yoongi sighs, turning around in his chair to face all the boys.
"me."
