Neil's realization

The next morning everyone was getting ready for breakfast. Neil knew that Avni was feeling down so he went to the kitchen and saw bheema.

"Bheema didi aaj breakfast mai poha banadoge please?" Bheema nodded in yes and Neil gave her a smile and left.

Then he decided to check in Avni as she was in the washroom when he left. When he reached to his room he saw Avni picking up broken glass with no attention to what she was doing. Suddenly Avni winced in pain. She had a glass piece in her finger.

"AVNI!" He ran up to her. "Kya yaar dhan kaha hai tumhare? Ab lagwali na chot."

"Chot lagwane ki aadat si ho gayi hai." Saying this she pulled her hand away from Neil's grip, stood up and left the room. Neil was stunned by Avni's this behaviour. He knew that Avni was hurt. Not physically but emotionally and he was going to find out why. As Avni was going down, she bumped into juhi. Juhi was smirking evilly.

"Tumhe yaad hai na ki maine kal kya kaha tha?"
Avni didn't say anything.

"Tumhare paas siraf aaj ka din hai. Agar kal raat 12:00 bajhe se phele tum iss ghar se bahar nahi gai toh tum soch bhi nahi sakti ki main kya karo gi."

Avni left from there and went to the dinning table. She sat beside Neil. Avni was lost in her own thoughts while Neil noticed that her finger was bleeding due to the glass in her finger.

"Avni tumhare ungli." Avni looked at her finger and saw that what he was talking about.

"Chalo main tumhari dressing kar deta hu."

"Nahi Neil main theek hu."

"Avni zid mat karo chalo." Neil literally dragged Avni to their room while Avni was whining behind him. Neil did her dressing when she was against it.

"Neil maine kaha hai na ki main theek hu!" Avni spoke in anger and jerked her hand away from Neil, but it hurt her instead.

"Avni kya hua hai tum kal se aaise kyu behave kar rahi hu?" Neil asked Avni holding her shoulders.

"Kuch nahi hua hai." Avni said with freeing herself from Neil's grip and went out of the room. Neil was about to go after her when his phone rang. It was DD.

In the police station:

"Kya hua DD?"

"Sir wo commissioner sahab ka phone."

After Neil was done talking to the commissioner he started looking at some files.

"Nahi DD yeh wali file nahi blue wali."!Neil said in anger because he was worried about Avni.

"Lagta hai ki ACP sir ka upne biwi se jhahra hua hai." Vidyut commented which distracted Neil and brought his attention to vidyut. He moved to his cell.

"Yeh police station hai. Yaha chup chap raho." Neil warned.

"Hum toh chup chap reh lege par kya aap aapni biwi ke bina reh paige."

"Kya?"

"Arre tum ne aapni pyaari wifey se jhahra kar liya hai. Phir tumse wo alag ho jaigi aur mere paas aa jai gi."

"AYEEEE VIDYUT!!" Neil lost his patience and held vidyut's collar.

"Phir wo meri pyaari wifey ban jaigi." Neil had enough. He started hitting Neil. DD came and stopped him.

"Avni ke bare main kuch mat kehna!!" Neil roared.

"Zara soch ki agar tumhe itna bura laga aapni wife ke bare main sochke toh zara soch ke wo yeh life jee rahi hai. Aur wo bhi tumhare waje se. Soch ki wo kaise jee rahi hogi. Wo bhi iss darr se ki pata nahi... pata nahi ki jab tum usse chor kar chale jao uss juhi ke paas. Soch ki usse kaisa lag raha ho ga jab tum aapni ex girlfriend ko aapne ghar layiye yeh jante hue ki tumhari ek bachi hai. Wo toh wo Avni hai ki usne Misti ko bhi aapnaliya wo bhi tumhare liye aur tumne kya kiya, tumne juhi ko ghar pe le aai. Arre isse acha tha ki Avni single hoti." Neil was getting angry but he controlled his anger as he knew that at this point vidyut was right. How can he be so unfair with Avni? He really felt guilty. He had to apologize to his Avni.

Neil's POV:

As much as I hate to do this but Vidyut is right. Who knows how much I have hurt her. No I can't hurt her more. I don't even spend time with her anymore. I have to apologize to her. How insecure is she feeling right now because of Juhi. She risked her life to save my daughter not even hers but my daughter. I didn't even thank her. Man how rude can I be. Avni you have a really big heart  that you forgave me after such a big mistake that I made in the past, which is affecting my present and future. Avni Juhi was my past, but I want you to be my present and my future. I can't live without you. If something happens to you...... no I won't let anything happen to you until I live. And that's my promise to you.

POV ended

Neil was working late at night and it was around 1:00 at night when DD saw that Neil was getting tired.

"Sir aap ghar chalye jaieye main yaha sab sumbhal loga." Neil gave a genuine smile to DD and went home.
