Avni runs around the room, picking up objects and shoving it into her bag. She glances at the watch and curses under her breath as she was running late. Clearly, having late night activities with her husband on a weekday meant waking up late and getting to work late. Standing in front of the mirror, she wore her earrings and adjusted her white blouse which was neatly tucked into her emerald pencil skirt. Avni threw her bag over her shoulder and jogged in her heels to the car, ignoring everyone's calls for breakfast. She lightly ran her hands through her wet hair attempting to dry them before she reaches the office.

Once she arrived, her secretary informed her that the clients were running late. Sighing, she finally took a deep breath and leaned back on the leather chair. "Neil Khanna, I will kill you." She mumbled under her breath.

Soon she burst her eyes open when she heard her cabin door open. Prakash walked in with their client. Avni abruptly stood up almost knocking her chair over.

"Mr. Singhania." Avni nodded, greeting the two men. She internally groaned as he brought his son with him.

But what lifted her mood up was her husband who appeared from behind Prakash.

"Mujhe lagta hai ki hume meeting conference room mein karni chahiye."Prakash suggested.

"Sorry, gentlemen. Thora sa late ho gaya." Neil spoke, coming in front of everyone and his back faced towards Avni.

"Mr. Singhania, yeh mera beta hai Neil Khanna. He will be joining us today for our meeting. Jaise weaponry aap banana chahte hai, uski Neil ko bohot knowledge hai. I believe he can help you and then we can seal the deal." Prakash introduced him to the older man.

"Nice to meet you." Mr. Singhania shook his hand. "Aur yeh mera beta hai, Rudra Singhania." He introduced Neil to his son.

Neil gripped Rudra's hand tightly. Rudra smirked at his reaction and tightened his grip.

"Aap Avni ko toh jaante hi hai, humari financial advisor. She will be able to guide you with the budget and the pricing." Prakash said.

Avni only met Prithviraj Singhania a handful of times as he was a hard man to find, the rest of the interactions were done through video calls or rarely, through Rudra. The fact that he was here himself, was a big deal for the company as he was one of the biggest investors in the market at the moment.

"This way." Prakash guides the Singhanias out of Avni's cabin and to the conference room down the hall.

Neil lingered back as they exited the cabin and smirked, turning towards Avni.

"Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?" She asked as she gathered her folders.

"Tumne suna nahi? Guiding them in the weaponry." He commented.

Avni rolled her eyes and began to walk out of her cabin with Neil next to her. "The real reason." She whispered.

"You didn't think I would leave you alone with that asshole." Neil jutted his chin at Rudra who was walking a couple of feet in front of them. He glared into his back hoping for it to burst into flames.

"Neil please, kuch aisa vaisa mat karna." Avni warned him as she clutched the files close to her chest.

"A long as he doesn't do anything, you don't have to worry about me, wifey." He smiled widely, while gripping her hip and pulling her to his side.
