“What?” I shouted and Ezami questioned in unison. “There must be some mistake.”

“Are you Calia Lufrewop?” Conray asked me seriously, like I was an imposter.

“Yes!” I shouted louder then intended, but they didn’t care.

“Then you are arranged to marry Prince Calvin Flow of Wolnia.” Conray said it like an order.

“Says who?” I shot back, crossing my arms.

“Says Tanyela and Wolnia when we arranged it.” Cameron said, stepping in.

“I don’t understand who arranged it.” Ezami stated, copying me and crossing her arms.

“We did it eighteen years ago.” Conray pointed to himself and Cameron.

“What about my parents?” I asked. “They don’t know, do they!?” I could feel myself raging inside.

“No need to shout, dear.” Cameron said softly, putting a hand on my shoulder.

“Don’t you ‘dear’ me!” I screamed, my hands turning red as I smacked hers away. “Tell me what’s going on right now!”

“Calia.” Calvin started, annoyed with the nonsense. “We were arranged to be married before you were even born. What don’t you understand?”

“The ‘married’ part.” My hands ignited as I said it.

“Fire.” The royals whispered before quickly transforming into wolves, and Conray jumped on me before I could react.

“Hey!” I screamed as his front paws pinned my arms down, his snout right up in my face, teeth showing, and growling ferociously.

“Calia!” Ezami screamed at me, but she couldn’t do anything to help. Her Magic was Dream; nothing useful at the time.

Mr. Sharp was nowhere to be seen.

All I could do was stare into the wolf’s eyes, the King’s eyes, and hope he wouldn’t kill me. Cameron and Calvin crowded around my hands, eyeing the flame.

It was now or never.

I was about to thrust the flame at them, but a tree trunk came flying through the air and across the room, hitting the wolves and knocking them away from me. I laid there for a second before I felt human hands on my shoulders and then my back, helping me sit up.

“Are you okay?” Cylak asked as I noticed it was him, and Aaron stepped in front of us.

“How did you find me?” I asked, still hard to believe they’re here.

“When you missed your classes, we knew something was up. Especially lunch.” Aaron replied, not taking his eyes off the fallen wolves. “Calia, what are you doing here?”

“Mr. Sharp took us here!” I exclaimed, but they cocked their heads to the side.

“Oh, you mean the new teacher!” Cylak said, nodding. “I know now.”

“Why did he take you here?” Aaron thrusted more trees at the wolves, who were lunging at us. He didn’t give me time to answer. “Cylak, get her out of here!” He turned his head to sat that, but right after, Conray grabbed his arm with his mouth and bit down.

“No!” I screamed as I heard Aaron's screams of pain, and my hands took control and thrusted flame after flame at the wolves. Aaron just lay there, clutching his bleeding arm with a pained expression on his face.

While the wolves were down, I ran over to Aaron and brought him up so he could stand.

“Get out of here.” Aaron ordered.
