My phone started ringing about four hours later. We were still relaxing, and nothing’s gone wrong yet. Cylak fell asleep, and the phone woke him up.
“There’s a new setting on a phone called ‘vibrate’, you should try it sometime.” Cylak whined as I picked up the phone.
“Hello?” I asked.
“Calia!” Nicole sounded excited, but then again, when is she not. “My mom said I could go!”
“Seriously?” I asked, because I really didn’t think she would.
“Yeah, and I have a plane ticket to fly out there tomorrow. See you soon!” I thought she was about to hang up, but then she started again. “Ooh wait, wait! The others said they’d come, too.” And then she hung up.
I pressed the end call button. They seriously let them?
“What happened?” Aaron asked, turning is head that was almost glued to the TV.
“They said they would come out here to see the wedding.” I answered calmly, but they didn’t react that way.
“Whoa, seriously?” Cylak was more surprised than anything. “Wow, you humans.”
“Uh huh, what is that supposed to mean?” I asked. I took it offensively. “I lived in Earth most of my life.”
“Well, you ‘humans’ get a lot more freedom.” Aaron agreed with him.
“You must not know humans very well, then.” I countered, but he shook his head.
“You know, In Tanyela, if you want to get married, you have to get permission from both sides of parents and pass a law, right?” Cylak asked, and I shook my head.
“Oh yeah…” Aaron trailed, remembering. “It’s a stupid law.”
Cylak nodded in agreement. “It may be, but you still have to follow it.”
“Well, technically, I need permission, too.” I added, and they both turned toward me. “I’m underage. I can’t marry unless I’m eighteen or older, or parent permission.”
“You’re kidding.” Cylak looked shocked, but I nodded.
“But Cylak, its Vegas. Anything can happen in Vegas.” I added, and they nodded.
“What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” Cylak laughed, and we joined.

The next day, we were at the airport early, thanks Nicole for booking an early flight, complete sarcasm included, at about eight in the morning, which is way earlier than any of us wake up. So, I was stuck with two whiney faeries outside the airport, waiting for them.
“Why did it have to be early?” Aaron whined, poking my arm.
“Yeah, why couldn’t they take the later flight?” Cylak whimpered, and he was resting on my shoulder.
“You two are such wimps.” I complained, and then I saw them. “Nicole!” I called, and she jerked her head around in the direction that her name was called.
“Calia!” She exclaimed, running with her suitcase to greet me. She almost tackled me, but Cylak stopped her. “Oh my God, Calia! We’re in Vegas!”
“I know, I know.” I soothed, trying to calm her down. Big mistake.
“Calia!” Austin yelled, and now they approached us.
“Hey guys!” I greeted Austin, Michael and Nick. “How was the flight?”
“Fine fine, perfectly fine.” Austin answered calmly. At least someone was calm.
