“Hey Calia!” Calvin greeted happily as he approached us, slinging an arm around my shoulders and pushing Aaron out of the away. “How’ve you been?”

“Good, good.” I replied trembling, and he slid his hand on my shoulder.

“Really? I doubt it. I mean, you came to Vegas.” He let go, and walked behind me and leaned his face right next to my ear. “You ran away to Vegas.”

I felt a shiver go down my spine. “I wanted to press my luck at the slots.”

“Oh, I bet you did.” He growled furiously. “I think you’ve spent enough time here on Earth. Why don’t we take you back home? I'm sure your family is worried about you.” He smiled somewhat evilly, showing me his pointed wolf teeth.

“I’d rather not.” I replied smartly, trying to back away, but he wasn’t impressed.

“It wasn’t an option.” He grabbed my wrist and jerked me away from Aaron, and started leading me towards the door. I tried to stop with me feet, but he would just jerk more.

“Cylak!” I screamed loudly, but he covered my mouth with his hand.

“Shut up. Strong boy doesn't need to get involved in this." He ordered as we were almost outside.

He opened the door to the Casino just as a slot machine came flying across the room and hitting Calvin, who dragged me with the launch. We hit a wall, and then it almost sounded like the cafeteria again. The screaming people, the chaos, the same.

Calvin’s grasped slipped mine, and Cylak rushed over to me. “Are you okay?” He asked worriedly, and got me out from under the slot machine, and then the sharp pain surged through the side of my face.

“Yeah, more or less.” I admitted, and I felt blood trickling down my face, and I saw Calvin push the slot machine off of him.

“I really don’t wanna fight this guy again.” Cylak mutered as he grabbed my hand and started running. Aaron took my other and we ran out of there as fast as we could.

“You can’t run away forever, Calia!” Calvin called after us. “I will marry you sooner or later!”

And that was my worst nightmare.

We arrived back at the hotel, and headed up to our room. Some people offered to help and call an ambulance, but Cylak turned them down. We entered our room quickly, and the first this we did was go to the bathroom to try to fix my face so it could stop bleeding.

“I think some glass broke off the slot machine.” Aaron said, and Cylak wet a washcloth and dabbed it on my cut.

“Yeah, I think so too.” Cylak agreed, and looked at me. “Sorry.” And he sounded like he truly was.

“It’s okay. You did what you had to do.” I said, and he smiled a little, until he dabbed the cut itself. “Ow!” I shrieked, slapping his hand away.

“Sorry.” He whispered and took some towels and wiped away some of the blood.

“You think we should ditch Vegas?” Aaron asked, entering with a bottle of healing ointment and putting it down.

“No.” I replied, and they both looked at me oddly. “I’m getting married in Vegas.”

“Calia.” Cylak started, and put some ointment on the cut, making me flinch to the sting. “He found us here. We need to keep moving.”

“Nowhere is safe for us, Cylak!” I cried, but he just shook his head.

“I told you wolves like to hunt.” Aaron sighed in a very I-told-you-so manner.
