Moving day. I was finally going to meet my father, I say finally because i've only just been able to. My mum and him divorced whilst i was a baby, all i have is one photo and a gift he sends me every year. I've always wanted to meet him, but he left my mum. My mother died last year, cancer, social services had agreed that at 16 i can move to my fathers. He accepted!
I could finally leave this horrid foster family. Also everyone back in London that hates me, so basically everyone. I have never been to America before i am so exited! I grabbed my only suitcase full of clothes and my charger. I can honestly say i've never been this happy to go anywhere. I jumped in the back of the moving truck.
"New life, here i come!" I said whilst rubbing my hands together.
"Yes Allison" My social worker said whilst patting my arm. I smiled in response and placed in my earphones.
----
"Excuse me..." Someone said tapping my shoulder aggressively.
"What!" I woke up in shock. My heart was beating so fast, i was here.
"Em.. Allison is it? Allison Kingsley?" The woman asked. I nodded in response.
"Your father has a driver waiting outside" She replied. Wait.. What? A Driver, he couldn't come and pick up his only daughter himself. I nodded once again then stood up. I jumped off the plane, squinting at the sunshine outside. I saw a man opposite me, he was standing outside a car in front of a moving truck holding a sign. It had 'Alli' written on the front.
I made my way over then held out my hand. The man looked at me oddly, i shrugged then let my hand drop next to me. I stepped into the car, careful not to hit my head. I sat in the front seat and stared outside the window.
"So.. Allison. You're Phillip's daughter. Well I'm Bob." He said in a quiet voice whilst starting the car.
"OK. Do you know my dad personally or do we need to have this conversation" I said, whilst scanning the car for the button to start the radio.
"I'm Phillip's driver" He said. My dad has a driver. Is he rich or something?
"OK Well i'll just put the radio on now" I said dancing my fingertips over the buttons. Bob hit my hand hard.
"Now look Missy!" Excuse me? I turned so i was facing the window. I watched the car pass all the houses and a school.
"Your Dad works hard and has allowed you here. If you act the way you are now he will make sure you're sent right back to London! I understand your probably mad at the world and that's fine, but i'm trying to help you here." How dare he! What gives him the right to tell me off? He has no clue how i feel.
I watched his head turn out the corner of my eye. He started concentrating on the driving. I nodded slowly.
We came to the bottom of a hill. I looked up to see a huge house. When i say huge i mean like this was a freaking mansion! I opened my mouth in amazement. I skipped to the front the door, i opened it slowly catching a glimpse of what it contained.
"Your father isn't home yet, your room has flowers on the door." Bob said carrying my bags behind me. I slowly walked up the stairs admiring every inch of this spectacular house. I finally found my room.
I opened the door, dropping my bag outside on the floor. I stepped inside and looked around, straight away in front of me was a balcony. That's not very useful, for me anyway. There was a double bed to the right of me just next to the balcony doors. I walked towards it and threw myself on the bed, it was memory foam. I felt relaxed, and ready.
I sat up off the bed and on the other side of the balcony doors was a wardrobe, and a dresser with a mirror sitting on top of it. I walked towards it, i felt uncomfortable looking in the mirror. That was pretty much it, it sounds like a little but for me its perfect!
I decided to take a small nap. I lay on top of the covers and to my surprise drifted off quite quickly.
---
"Alli" I heard a mans voice say.
i rubbed my eyes to see a man sitting on the end of my bed. I screamed, loud! He giggled.
"Alli its me? Dad?" I calmed down. My heart was still beating fast.
"I've got to stop being waken up?" I said through a harsh morning voice.
"What dear?" He asked not understanding my comment.
"never mind" I said. I stared at him for about five seconds, then i threw myself into his arms. He rubbed my back, and whispered
"I've missed you Allison" I felt my eyes tear up. I let the hug go and sat back.
"I've missed you Dad" I replied smiling, he smiled to.
"Well I have a lot of work to do, your bags are downstairs i'm sure Bob will help you." He said, i nodded turning away. I heard his feet hit the ground as he walked out my room.
I lay back. Thoughts started to spin around my mind.
Maybe he really did miss me?
No, No he didn't?
Maybe I'll make friends here?
No everyone will hate you, just like in London?
Shut up!
Great already i'm in an argument with myself. I was interrupted by Bob walking into my room.
"Am I disturbing?" I shook my head,
"No not at all" yes Bob, yes you were.
"Good, I've heard you need help unpacking?" He said, No Bob, No I don't.
"I can manage surely, I'll let you know if i need any help" I said in the happiest voice i could force out.
"Oh OK, See you later. Have fun!" Bob said, with slight disappointment. No Bob, No I won't.
He shut the door behind him. I was left alone, as usual unpacking all my bags. I reached up to grab my phone from the desk. I clicked on music and played some of the Demi album.
I hummed along to a few songs, when i say hummed i mean i occasionally pretend I'm some famous singer that's good. When in actual fact I'm really not. Whoops?
Firstly i opened the wardrobe. Inside was hung a blue dress, i shrugged and placed all my outfits inside. Then i put my makeup and toiletries in the small drawers in the desk, carefully avoiding eye contact with the mirror. It's Friday so I shouldn't have to worry about school until Monday.
So this is my first chapter let me know what you think? Matt will be introduced in either the next chapter or the third I'm unsure ha ha! Anyways hope you liked this please vote, comment and follow :)
