I was going through another Lost Boy's memories. I hated intruding, but I didn't seem to have a choice.

At one point I realized whose memories these were.

Pan had once told me about a boy name Felix. He was Pan's best friend (secretly) and his second-in-command. Felix was tall, taller than Pan, with a lot of muscle, and was always carrying an enormous club around. He was intimidating, but in more of a big brother way. He also had a crush on Pan, which I thought was really cute.

I saw his memories up to the part where the island was being destroyed, and then I was shaken awake.

"Hey, Kasey, it's time to eat." It was Edith.

"Lunch already?" I asked, and noticed how Mikah was gone. "Mikah -"

"She's been sitting here for hours. I let her go prepare this." She held out a tray with some fruit and a lot of meat. "The meat'll help you get your strength back quicker."

I nodded and slowly ate every piece of food on it. Edith laughed and told me to stay while she took it back.

"You're getting better, I see," said a voice directly behind me right as I felt a hand on my arm. I jumped and turned to see Pan laying next to me, tugging on my arm to join him. I sighed in annoyance and relief and lay down next to him. He chuckled and kissed my forehead. "Aww, did I scare you?" I punched him in the stomach, earning a grunt and a pained chuckle. "Looks like your strength is coming back faster than I first anticipated."

"Get lost," I whispered harshly and he smirked wickedly.

Before I could understand what was happening he kissed me and disappeared. I lay there, trying to slow my heart rate and figure out what had just happened, until Edith came back in. She sat down heavily in the chair and sighed. "It's really hot."

I nodded and turned on my side. "Let me guess: You're going to tell me to sleep?"

She nodded and smiled proudly. "Chop chop, get to it."

I smiled and closed my eyes. Not much later I was unconscious and dreaming.

I was standing near a cliff, staring at the dropping sun. Suddenly I felt a hand squeeze mine and turned to see Pan. He was smiling and his eyes were closed. He breathed deeply and opened them, turning his gaze to meet mine. He smiled, making me smile. Then I was against his chest, my head on his shoulder and his hand holding it there. "Got you," he whispered into my ear, tickling my skin.

"This is just a dream," I said, closing my eyes and earning a chuckle.

"Yes, it is a dream," he said as he kissed my hair. "But if I wasn't here with you, you'd be standing here alone."

I pulled my head back to look at him and opened my eyes. "What do you mean?"

"I mean," he said, kissing my chin, "I'm not really supposed to be in your dream." Then he kissed the corners of my mouth slowly. "I just crawled in so you'd have company."

I was still confused but I just shrugged it off. "Normally I'd be ticked off that you wormed your way into my brain, but right now, it's okay."

He chuckled and kissed my lips softly. And then again. And then again. And then again. "I just can't get enough of you," he mumbled against my lips. "You taste so good."

I laughed a bit and broke away, putting my head on his shoulder and staring out at the landscape.

Pan's arms flexed around my waist as he suddenly picked my up off my feet and held me closer, making me squeal. I laughed and he just chuckled, and I pushed my lips onto his. We just kissed for a few minutes, him holding me a few inches off the ground. Finally I pulled back and requested he put me down.

"I can't," he said with a devious smile. "Look at our feet."

My stomach dropped as I realized what he was saying. I looked down and squeaked again, holding him tighter as he stuck his feet out and placed me on them. I knew at one point or another he would probably drop me, so I held on like my life depended on it.

"You don't need to squeeze me so," he chuckled, kissing my cheek. "It's not like I'm going to drop you."

I scoffed.

"What, you don't believe me?" He mocked hurt.

"Nope."

He smirked and kissed me gently. As I pulled away but one of his hands cupped the back of my neck and held me in place. I tried to pull away once again, but he just pushed his lips onto mine, making my attempts to push away faulter.

After about ten minutes of kissing I felt the ground beneath Pan's boots again. I broke away, smiling when I saw I was a couple of inches taller than than him now. "I'm taller," I sang out and giggled, then moaned because it was annoying.

Pan shook his head as his smirk grew. "You're so adorable."

He kissed me again and I mumbled, "Of course I am," against his lips.

After a while he broke our kisses and set me on my feet. "I want to tell you something," he mused, his eyes glued to my lips. "But I also just really want to keep kissing you."

"How about you tell me and then you can kiss me when you're done?"

He considered this. "How about I kiss you, tell you, and then -"

"Would just tell me already?"

He chuckled and pecked my lips. "I really want you to be my girlfriend." Then his lips were touching mine again. My breath caught and I froze. Pan pulled away and looked down into my surprised eyes.

"I -" I sputtered. "I - I don't - I don't know what to say," I stuttered out nervously.

"Say you will," he begged, grabbing my face gently. "Please, Kasey. I can't stand the fact that we are so close, and at the same time, so far. It's killing me, Kasey. I don't like hiding how I feel. It's hard when I feel so strongly about you. Please, please just consider!"

I pulled out of his grasp and took two steps back. I didn't know what to do. No one's ever asked me out before then. I didn't know what to say. And besides, he didn't even ask me out, he just said "I want you to be my girlfriend",  like, seriously, no pressure or anything. "I -"

"I love you!" he said suddenly, cutting me off. He looked like he didn't mean to, but it still made me take another step back.

I didn't know what to do. So I turned and ran. I know that was the cowardly thing to do and I knew he would just chase after me, but I couldn't stop and I couldn't think straight. It's not like he even gave me a choice or anything. Just "I love you" right out of the blue - way to freak a girl out!

"Kasey!" I heard his footsteps behind me and ran harder. "Kasey, please wait!"

I felt tears streaming down my cheeks as I ran and began to sob. I was sobbing so much I began to slow down. Pan slammed into me and sent me sprawling. He caught my hand and pulled me back so I slammed into his chest instead of the forest floor. I hit him so hard he fell to the ground with me still on top of him.

I tried to control my breathing as I cried against his neck. He whispered soothing words and rubbed my back as I gripped his shoulders. I cried for a while and when my tears were gone I sat up and caught his gaze.

He stared back, tenderly, and bemusedly. I tried to get up but he just pulled me back down. His hand caught my face and it made me stop struggling. He kissed my forehead softly and whispered my name. Then he kissed my nose and whispered it again. Then both my cheeks. Then my chin. Then my bottom lip. Way to extinguish my anxiety, Pan.

When he got to the center of my lips he stopped. "Do you feel it?" he whispered. "Do you feel what I feel?"

I nodded quickly and he smiled gently. "Kiss me," he ordered, closing his eyes.

I leaned down to kiss him, but stopped just above his lips. His eyes came open again, and I smirked evilly before climbing off his chest. I rested beside him and put my head on my hand, my other hand on his arm. "Come get it," I ordered as I quickly rolled away, stood up, and ran for my life.
