Ambush

Xaeron waited for the men who fought her last night. She was in a meditation position, the gates were open for them to enter without delay.

The men arrived with full of confidence and conditioned bodies.

"You came." Xaeron said to them. "Of course we would! We don't want to turn down a fight." Trek shouted.

Xaeron stood up, "Well then, let's begin." she smirked.

Meanwhile, in the Princess' room all screams and grunts were heard. It was too loud and she couldn't help but to get up from bed and find out what's going on.

She was surprised when Xaeron and Aera was up early. The guards and their soldiers were also there. The screams were from the men she did not know.

She immediately prepare her bath alone and got dressed quickly. She went downstairs and met the her King Father.

"What's going on?" The Princess asked King Drale. "I believe Xaeron is preparing for the war."

They immediately reached the training ground. "What is going on here?" King Drale demanded an answer.

It was Aera who heard him. "A pleasant morning Your Majesty, Princess Frea. Master Xaeron had recruited men for the war." She politely answered.

"What?" Princess Frea was surprised and confused. They had soldiers, no need to recruit civilians.

"But they're-" She was cut off by Aera. "Don't worry Princess, Master Xaeron got it all covered." Aera smiled sweetly and continued to observe the soldiers training.

"Come on! If your that slow, the Shadow Knights' blade will touch you and you will turn to ashes." Xaeron said while watching the men fight.

Princess Frea was amazed by their fight. "Xaeron!" Princess Frea called Xaeron but she didn't turn her head.

She had no choice but to approached her. But before she could talk, Xaeron butt in first.
"Not now Princess, I'm busy." Xaeron said without looking at her.

"I know but it'll just take a minute." Xaeron sighed. "Aera!"

Aera immediately came, "Show them how to sense a Shadow Knight." Xaeron said and left the men under Aera's care.

"Lead the way Princess."  Princess Frea did what she was told and led Xaeron into a private room.

"What do you think your doing?" The Princess asked irritated. "What do you think? I'm preparing for war."

"I know. But why did you recruit civilians?"

Xaeron sighed. "They're not ordinary civilians, they're Elementals."

The Princess was surprised, "How did you know?"

"I know because I know. Your soldiers are Elementals too, we need all the help we can get." Xaeron said.

"Okay, but did they know they're fighting for war?" Xaeron only nodded.

"Where did you find them anyway?"

"I found them at a bar last night. We had fun last night." Xaeron can't help but to smile. She didn't had fun just like last night, for a long time.

"Fun?" The Princess sounded curios. "Yeah, I fought them all."

"Oh. Did you got hurt?" Princess Frea scanned her around to look for any bruises or scratch. She even touched Xaeron's shoulder.

Xaeron held her breath for a while. She felt like an electricity just ran through her body a while ago. "I'm fine Frea."
