Aera's Identity

Xaeron and Aera stood in front of Amiya, the young Elemental wasn't sure of the things she heard.

"A princess?" She asked looking at her Master for an answer.

"I thought I lost you Aera." Amiya said, tears are still visible in her eyes. Nothing mattered to her now except for her niece. "I don't understand Master. Wha- I mean who am I?"

The Master of Fire sighed and tapped Aera's shoulder. "Let me explain it to you kid, but its best to meet you're guardian first." Xaeron looked at Amiya knowingly so Amiya led them to a room that was intended for royals.

Amiya showed Aera and Xaeron the history of the royal family who ruled Aeronimbus for centuries. Yula appeared in the room, walked elegantly and staring into Aera's wholesome figure. "Meet Yula, she was the one who protected you when you're mother decided that it was best that you should be away after what happened here." Amiya started explaining, Aera was still confused then Yula walked towards Aera and lied near her feet. "We came from the descendants of the first dwellers that ruled Aeronimbus, my sister that means you're mother ruled Aeronimbus with you're father. I was their most trusted adviser and a soldier that protects Aeronimbus."

"So where are they? Why didn't they meet me themselves?" Aera asked and that made Amiya went silent. Xaeron had to intervene and continue the story behind Aera's identity. "When I found you, Yula was the one carrying you through her mouth with the help of a cloth. She was surrounded by Shadow Knights, it was my first time seeing a majestic creature so I had to save her. After that I led Yula to Flareia, Lady Labu was out at that time so I was the one who treated Yula's wounds. I kept you warm because I thought Yula had a rider, but Yula flew away after I took you from her. Weeks passed, until it turned into years Yula never came back."

Aera was listening she was now petting Yula's head, treating her well knowing that Yula saved her life. "Lady Labu came back with the news that there was a conflict of Aeronimbus' royal family with another family who seeks the throne. That's when I decided to visit Aeronimbus together with King Andi we were still young at that time. Then I met Amiya that's when she told me there was a treachery happened years ago and there was a new ruler. So I decided to keep you as a secret, I trained you to take back what's rightfully yours Aera."

The young Elemental did not know what to say. She was staring at the portrait that is hanged on the wall. "Is that them?" Aera said looking at the portrait, then she glanced at Amiya who nodded as an answer. Aera balled her fists tightly that her knuckles turned white. Xaeron noticed this and she patted Aera's shoulder. "We will announced it later to the King." The Master of Fire said.

"Is he the one who betrayed my parents?" Aera asked.

"Yes Aera, the Araguras didn't knew what happened inside the Air Palace because most of the soldiers that were under you're parents command were killed, some of them were threatened to kill their families if one wrong information were feed to the Araguras. The Araguras just knew that the King and Queen were killed by an ambush including you and the throne was passed to Maximus the present King. Nobody questioned Maximus, but those of us who knew what he's after were forced to be silent."

Aera was now in rage, "Why didn't you lead a resistance? Why didn't you fight back?" she was now crying but wiped her tears away with force. "Believe me Aera, I tried. We tried fighting but Maximus' soldiers were strong enough to wipe away our little force. But if you'd like I will call them in and tell them the rightful heir of Aeronimbus is back."

Aera knelt down, crying until her hearts content. The Master of Fire looked at her apprentice with pity and sadness. Yula comforted Aera by rubbing her head into Aera's stomach. "I'm so sorry Aera if I haven't saved them. I did everything I could." Amiya cried too, then she walked towards Aera and hugged her niece.
