Duel

Two days had passed and Xaeron's team haven't left HydroPole.

Not because the King didn't let them go, but Lexus had a hard time leaving his job for a while.

Aera had a fun time wondering the Ice City, while the Princess and King Andi discuss some important matters.

Xaeron on the other hand, was the one who was tasked to persuade Lexus to leave HydroPole as soon as possible.

The two of them were on the training ground, Lexus asked the King to look for someone who will be replacing him for the mean time.

King Andi agreed and now, Lexus was tending to this matter first hand.

"Why can't you just pick someone already!" Xaeron groaned. She was bored and irritated.

Lexus only chuckled, "Impatient as ever. Being the Protector of the sea is not an easy job Xaeron."
Xaeron just rolled her eyes.

Lexus looked at the male and female Elementals who were strong and clever when it comes to protecting.

Lexus scanned them very well. He was pacing back and forth in front of the Elementals, yet still he couldn't decide.

"Argh! Enough Lexus! I'm challenging you into a duel and if I win we'll leave HydroPole today." Xaeron said.

"Hmm. Sounds good, and if I win?" Lexus asked, turning to his friend.

"I'll leave you and let you choose your replacement as long as you want."

Lexus put his hand under his chin and smirked. "I have an idea." Xaeron groaned, whatever Lexus had in mind she knew she doesn't like it.

"What?!" Lexus grinned, he knew she got Xaeron irritated and bored. He's gonna make it up to her in this challenge.

"How about, I'll let you fight this Elementals and whoever is the last Elemental standing from this group shall be my replacement."

Xaeron looked at him boringly. "That's it?" Lexus nodded.

"Done." Xaeron stretched her body and readied herself.

"You heard him. Come and fight me and prove us your worthy of being the Protector of the Sea." Xaeron gestured them to come closer and fight her.

The Elementals look at each other and one by one, they attacked Xaeron.

Aera was on her way to the training ground of the Ice Castle and saw Xaeron fighting with other Elementals.

"What's going on?" She asked Lexus when she got closer.
"Xaeron and I made a deal. If she wins, we'll be out of here and start the next journey."

"But she always win." Aera argued, "I know. Whoever the last water Elemental standing shall be taking my place for the mean time."

Aera nodded. "So, it's a win-win situation for everybody." Lexus nod and smiled.

"Want some food?" Aera offered him. "Yeah sure." She walked to a palace maid she saw and asked politely for a food. The palace maid oblige and Aera went back to Lexus' side.

While watching Xaeron and the other Elementals. The King and the Princess arrived to see how they were doing, but they were surprised of what they have witnessed.

The King asked for a chair for him and the Princess. They were watching them like it was a play.

Xaeron dodged all the attacks from the Elementals. Soon she was the one who's charging, she threw a fire ball at them. Big enough to cause damage.
