Heir to the Throne

When everything is said and done, Xaeron and the others split into groups.

Lexus with the other Elementals in the resistance, along with Malakeith.

Kira, with two Princesses along with Amaya. They were accompanied by other Elementals.

Zed together with the remaining other Elementals.

And lastly, Xaeron and Aera.

"They're probably expecting us to attack now. Let's go to our respective areas and wait for my signal at dawn." Xaeron said looking at all of them.

Good thing Zed didn't protests by her plans.

"Let's move out!" Xaeron said and everyone went out the cave. The Master of Fire grabbed the Princess of Fylux stopping her on her tracks.

"Take care of yourself. Here." Xaeron gave the Princess a horn.

"If you blow on this, I will definitely come for you and save you." Xaeron answered the Princess' questioning looks.

Then she hugged Frea's soft body.

"Alright lovebirds. Save that for later, we got a kingdom to save." Zed butted in, making the Princess of Fylux to blushed.

They broke the hug and Princess Amane snickered. "We'll take care of her Xaeron." Amaya said, and earn a nod from the Master of Fire.

Everyone proceed to their respective areas, to the secret passages Amaya told them about.

"You ready for taking back your throne?" Xaeron asked her young apprentice, while they wait for dawn to come.

"Yes Master." Aera responds looking forward of seeing the man who killed her parents.

"Good. It's time to show your skills and power."

As the night grew darker, the two of them sit still in the entrance of the secret passage that leads to the yard.

"Master, can I ask you something?"

Xaeron looked at her nodded.

"Why weren't you picked as a chosen Elemental?"

Xaeron smiled at her young apprentice.

"I found out the most disturbing thing in my entire life in the Spirit World." Xaeron's answer made the young Elemental confused.

"After you came back from the Spirit World, you've changed." Aera said.

"The book probably has its reasons why I wasn't chosen. But there's one goal that I need to do." Xaeron looked serious now. Her aura changed and that made Aera shivered in fear.

"I need to kill the Shadow King, no matter what it takes."

"But the chosen Elementals are destined to destroy him, right? You believed in the prophecy right?"

Aera earned no response from her Master.

"I will tell all of you the truth about my life. After we defeat Maximus. Come, it's time." Xaeron started walking inside the secret passage, tailed by a confused Aera.

"Focus on defeating Maximus, Aera. We will talk later."

With that said, Xaeron and Aera hurried to the door and they found themselves in the big yard in front of the castle.

There were more guards, as expected the enemy tightened their security. Xaeron and Aera crouched down, they grabbed guards that were near them and making them unconscious.
