Survivors

The evening came and King Andi came to Aqua Lane along with Xaeron and Aera for the hunt.

Lexus was waiting for them, and the night was calm. The moon shines brightly as it lighted the land and bodies of water.

"Are you ready?" King Andi asked the others.

"Yeah sure." Xaeron answered boringly. Aera had to say sorry again in behalf of her Master.

"Never gets old." Lexus said as he wore his cloak.

"Come on and let's get ourselves busy." Xaeron said and lead the way out of the Aqua Lane.

They had passed the secret passage and waited for the thieves to show up.

"How come that thieves dare to seek this place?" Aera asked King Andi while they observe silently.

"I don't know either. I hope to catch one tonight and seek answers." King Andi replied.

All of them went silent after that. As the night grew deeper, the fog appeared and covered the trees.

All of them had been alert because the fog had appeared. This is the right time for the thieves to attack now.

A sound was heard not from afar. "Did you heard that?" Lexus asked.

"Loud and clear." Xaeron answered, Aera went towards the direction of where the sound came from. "Aera wait!"

King Andi wanted to pull back Aera but it was too late. "Gosh! I hate how fast you two can be." King Andi jokingly said.

"She learned from the best." Xaeron boasted.

They followed Aera, but it was quick and quiet. They were led to the middle of the forest.

They hid behind the trees. It was a camp, a bonfire was on the middle and there were a lot of unknown citizens.

"Where do you think they came from?" Lexus asked King Andi.

"I don't have any single idea."

"Wait, where's Aera?" Lexus asked again.

The three of them searched with their eyes, "She's over there." Xaeron pointed Aera.

Aera was standing beside a tent. Xaeron was about to step out and grabbed Aera, but she saw someone pointing a sword towards Aera's neck.

She signaled the two to follow her.

"Who are you and where did you came from?" A guy asked Aera.

Aera kept still, "Answer me!" the guy pushed the sword slowly.

Xaeron had quickly went to the back of the guy and grasp his neck with her hand.

"One more move and I will slit your throat with my fire and you will be burned alive."

The guy gulped hard, "Put your sword down." Xaeron said with authority on every word.

He threw his sword and back away from Aera.

"Now the question is, who are you?" Xaeron asked, still clinging to his neck with a fire on her other hand.

"That's enough Xaeron."

King Andi said and Xaeron let go of the guy.

"Looks like I've got the wrong information." King Andi said, and looked around the camp.

"Where did you came from?" King Andi asked the guy.

The guy rubbed his neck gently, to ease the pain from the grip of Xaeron.
