Farewell

The royal ceremony ended quickly, the citizens of Aeronimbus were grateful for the new Queen. Soldiers and citizens were working together in order to remake the ruins of the castle.

As for the previous King and his subordinates, they were stripped off of their positions and was banished from the Kingdom. Except for Maximus, he was imprisoned for life in a special cell for his crimes for plotting murder against the royals.

Aeronimbus is fine now. However, a great danger awaits for the odd group. The Chosen Elementals gathered, together with the new crowned Queen and the Master of Fire inside a living room of the castle.

The two Princess, Amane and Frea seated next beside each other. Aera, is seated in the center of the single chair.

Lexus and the two other Chosen Elementals were seated next to the Queen's chair.

They were all quiet for some time, and Princess Frea managed to speak breaking the silence engulfing them.

"Now that we've taken Aeronimbus, three of the Chosen Elementals are found. Where should we look for the last Elemental?"

They all turned to Xaeron. They knew that she's also essential in winning the war. However, they still need to look for the last Chosen Elemental.

They're all wondering the same thing. Why haven't the Book of Aragu chose Xaeron as one of the Chosen Elementals?
"Master?" Aera called out to her Master, who was busy looking outside the window.

"It's time for you to know the truth." Xaeron turned to them, eyeing all of them.

The tension inside the room turned gloomy all of a sudden. It was heavy and if one might crack a joke, no one will be able to laugh it off.

"What truth?" Lexus turned to his friend. He looks worried but calm nonetheless.

"I'll go straight to the point. I will be the one that needs to kill Morpheus."

"The Chosen Elementals are destined to kill the Shadow King, Xaeron." Kira said.

"I am his own blood and flesh! That's why I am the one that needs to kill him!" Xaeron spat, everyone was surprised by the sudden revelation and also to Xaeron's burst. She wasn't this agitated before, she was calm and when the circumstances aren't favorable to her, she always remained collected.

"W-what do y-you mean?" Amane was stuttering, she couldn't believed what she heard. Hands to her mouth.

"Believe it or not, I wished it wasn't true. But the previous Prince of Fylux, the one who took me in confirmed it."

"H-how?" Lexus was worried for his friend, not only because of the cold harsh reality his friend endured but also Xaeron must have felt she was all alone now.

"I talked to him in the Spirit World. He told me everything, from the beginning."

"So, you're telling me that the blood of that evil man is running through your veins?! You're one of him too?!" Zed lashed out and went charging towards Xaeron. Everyone was shocked by the hostile movement.

He gripped on Xaeron's collar and pinned her to the wall. It made a loud thud and the wall cracked.

"This is no time to joke around Xaeron. Time is our enemy here! We need to find the Chosen Elemental of Fire. If we can't find that Elemental, you will be suited for the position. So, come on! There's no time to waste!" Zed yelled at Xaeron's face.

But the latter was just silent. They weren't ready for this truth, and if this was a nightmare they wished they could wake up already.

"No." Xaeron muttered.
