having the majority of their classes together the first month blew by fast. it was a friday night, richie and eddie were walking home when richie brought up a horrendous idea to eddie. "eddieee." richie groaned. "it's only a party it wont kill you."

"oh sure." richie mentally prepared himself for the lecture. "a single house with maybe a hundred people crowded together all doing things they most definitely shouldn't and sex!" he exclaimed. "do you know all the bacteria and pathogens that are passed from kissing alone? let alone people putting themselves inside of each other!" richie could tell the idea obviously made eddie uncomfortable but he couldn't help but try to get him to come.

"ooh eddie does sex freak you out?" he teased playfully. eddie didn't see it as such.

"you know wh-" richie didn't bother letting eddie finish.

"listen eds, just come to this party. only an hour and if you don't like it then i'll never bring you to another one again for the whole year." eddie sighed and put his hand out to shake. richie quickly spit on his hand before eddie could stop him and shook eddie's hand.

"gosh! you almost just lost the deal right there!" eddie scowled.

"i had to seal  it!" richie grinned excited of the evening to come.

the two spent the next few hours at eddie's house watching the television while ms. k was shopping.

"hello ms. k!" richie greeted his dear friend's mother as she walked into the house.

"hello richie. eddie baby do you mind bringing in the groceries?" she requested. eddie didn't dare deny her.

"yes mommy!" he said quickly before running out to the car. richie followed closely behind. he grabbed more bags than his smaller friend, he saw everything as a competition.

"richie if your drop one of those my mother will kill me!"

"good, maybe then you'll stop talking about wh-" richie stopped himself. he could only insult eddie so much in one day. "i won't" he settled for that response and finished carrying the bags in. although he didn't drop them he managed to drop them on the counter as loud as he could.

richie felt a sort of pride knowing he had collected the majority of the groceries in.

"look at that tozier did a generous deed today!" richie smiled. "no smart remark?" eddie asked.

"nope. ms. k eddie is spending the night at my house." eddies mom was always okay with eddie spending time with richie. she trusted him, as much as he annoyed her. eddie gave his mother a quick peck on the cheek before running out the front door behind richie.

"surprise sleepover?" eddie asked.

"it's not a surprise if you're always welcome loser."
