richie and eddie were laying in bed at his house when he proposed an idea. "let's all go out." he suggested.

"what do you mean?" eddie inquired.

"me you, stan, and bill." eddie nodded his head in acknowledgement. "i feel like we haven't done that in forever." eddie agreed with his thought and began to dress himself. eddie dug through his drawers until he found a button up shirt and a pair of khaki shorts.

"you make my clothes look dorky." richie commented.

"you make them look slobby." eddie attempted to make a remark.

"you mean cool." richie corrected tapping eddie's nose. "now, let's get outta here."

eddie followed richie out of the house and got into his car.

they drove for a short while, with the top down of course, until they arrived at stanley's house. on the ride eddie was just busy memorizing the sights of the street he had driven down far too many times. ironically having almost never leaving this town it always had a nostalgic vibe, like it was gone before they ever knew it was there. but they were there. they were always there and that comforted eddie. he couldn't imagine either of them ever leaving.

when they arrived in stan's driveway richie obnoxiously honked his horn, the same way he always did when he pulled up in eddie's driveway. they both knew stanley was home and if he wasn't he would be at bill's house. they didn't have to think for two long because stanley quickly stumbled out of his house.

he was putting on his shoe in a fashion that was far from orderly. he was hopping up and down on his right foot almost tripping on multiple occasions before he slipped on his shoe which he then had to stop on a few times to get the back untucked from his heel.

stanley hopped into the back of the car and fixed anything he needed to.

on the drive eddie noticed stanley was pulling the lock up in down in patterns of threes. "something up stan?" eddie asked.

"oh," he said obviously caught off guard. "it's nothing much just i-" he paused for thought. "i was just thinking about the conversation we had." eddie hummed and nodded before turning his attention back to the front.

"what did you guys talk about?" richie asked, unable to stay out of the discussion.

"nothing relevant." eddie threw him off and suggested he pay attention to the road. richie let out a soft huff then looked back to the street on their quest to their last friend's house.

they pulled up too bill's house the same way they pulled up to stan's. bill's house felt more ghostly than stan's.

he walked out ready for the day he hadn't planned. bill was almost always ready. laying in his room alone with no thought consuming his mind besides boredom he had thought to always be ready in case plans did occur. but getting ready to do nothing only made him feel more gutted.

luckily this was one of the days in which he could gladly climb out of the house he called home and join his friends in their adventure.

"where are we going anyways richie?" bill, the last to join but the first to ask.

"why, we are going to the derry fair of course!" everyone groaned. "what it's going to be fun!"

"yeah but all the people, its so crowded, and noisy." stanley complained.

"not to mention the fact that the rides were put up in 45 minutes and are so easily collapsible." added eddie.

"i was groaning in happiness, who doesn't love deep fried foods?" bill exclaimed.

"fine, fine, i guess...." richie trailed off. "we're still going because i said so!" everyone laughed. although eddie and stanley couldn't be less thrilled they still enjoined spending time with their friends, not to mention richie's humorous comments.

parking, as always, was the hardest part of the fair. you spend about 20 minutes looking for a spot after paying $5 for it. they non-drivers didn't mind though, they just enjoyed the tunes that played through the radio.

"finally." richie exclaimed when he pulled into the lot, 14 rows from the entrance.

"ugh what a walk." bill complained.

"gosh you're such a baby." teased stan.

"i wish someone would just carry me." bill whined some more.

"fine." groaned stanley. bill hopped onto his back and continued walking to the fair.

richie elbowed eddie. "why can't we be that cute?" he asked.

"believe me, you are."

i literally finished writing everything except the bolded part months ago which kinda makes me hate myself bc i could have had this out aged ago. sorry for the hiatus...
