"how so?" richie asked. in all seriousness he never felt anything for eli, he was too caught up in trying to fall out of love with eddie. obviously it didn't work.

"i don't know." eddie sighed, he felt embarrassed. "it's just you guys seemed close and i just assumed..." he trailed off not knowing what else to say.

"eds." richie started. "i could never replaced you." he pulled richie into a tight hug and they made amends. "friends?"

"friends."

about a week later everything had returned to normal, in terms of before eli that was. eddie and richie became close again just as they were before. just a little more, platonic.

it was obvious that everyone was trying to avoid the elephant in the room.how long were richie and eddie really going to keep this up? i mean, you can't just have an obvious partner, talk it out, and pretend nothing happened without some things coming up. can you?

at the time it seemed that's what richie and eddie were doing but in reality richie was working on gaining eddie's trust back. he felt that if he could do that, he could make it official with eddie.

bill, eddie, richie, and stanley were all at the quarry one day swimming. eddie had splashed richie first. of course richie being the way he was hit eddie with a much stronger splash. this quickly turned into an all out war with stanley and bill joining the two boys.

it had started to get dark but the boys were to distracted to notice. by the time they did they realized they'd be in trouble when they went home.

"why don't we all spend the night at my house?" bill offered. "we're all going to be in trouble by the time we get home anyways, might as well continue having fun." he had a point and all of the boys agreed.

"we'll just call our moms when we get to your house." richie said.

eddie listened to his words but he was too struck by the fact this will be the first time they stayed the night with one another since they stopped talking.

the four boys were sat in a circle on bill's floor playing truth or dare. it was all small and insignificant things until it was richie's turn, "i d-dare you to p-pr-prank call stanley's d-dad." bill said.

"oh my god." sighed richie. "you dare me to kiss eddie?!" richie sounded appalled even though nobody had brought up the idea except himself.

eddie looked shocked, along with the rest of the boys. "nobody said th-" stanley was interrupted by richie's mumbling.

"i can't believe you guys are making me do this." richie said turning toward eddie. "you guys are craaaaazy!" finally he planted his lips onto eddie's. something he has long been awaiting to do.

the kiss was not short but not long. to richie it was a good six seconds. to eddie it was an unplanned, anxiety filled, germ spreading moment. but he didn't care.

although he did feel it was necessary to make a statement. "gross!" he exclaimed. "do you know how many pathogens are in bacteria? you could have mono! or worse, herpes!" for a moment he had seemed serious. stanley and bill didn't say anything, too in awe to speak.

when richie has figured out richie was just joking he nervously laughed, still unsure of how eddie felt. that was until eddie had kissed him again.

richie began to subconsciously pinch himself. "what are you doing?" eddie asked.

"i had to make sure this wasn't a dream." he smiled while his heart beat was racing.

the moment was raw for everyone. nobody else said anything for a while. they just enjoyed the reunion of richie and eddie. against the world. eddie thought to himself.

geez laid ease. took me long enough. this is barely a chapter. okay so i'm starting a jyatt book cause i've got major writers block for this. so if you have any ideas for this pass me up. if not i'd just really love feedback. i love you <3
