"did you know one in four people are gay?" richie spoke as bill, stan, eddie, and himself sat around a table in the library during study hall. they wanted to get away from ms. franklin. 

"oh really, richie?" stanley asked sarcastically. 

"yeah that means one of us are probably gay." he finished. 

"gosh where do you find these stats richie? on a desk in english?" eddie laughed at his dear friend knowing that most of the things he said were idiotic.

"actually found it in your diary, right next to how much you love me." eddie's face went all kinds of hot and all shades of red. 

"you did not." he bluntly said. eddie mentally cursed himself for ever having a diary. 

"i know," richie smiled. "i was just kidding." he said before playfully punching eddie's shoulder. the rest of the boys laughed with each other.

"w-we should g-g-go to the m-movies today." bill changed the topic obviously seeing eddie was embarrassed.

"yeah that sounds like it could be fun!" stanley said.

"wanna invite mike and ben?" eddie suggested. 

"i'm cool with that." richie said looking over to the two boys.

"yeah." they both said in unison.

"i'll invite them when i see them." stanley concluded. eddie loved the movies, watching a new film with his best friends while pigging out on junk. who wouldn't love it? eddie excused himself to use the restroom while the three boys talked. 

"what are we seeing?" stanley asked. 

"the new child's play movie is out!" richie said enthusiastically. 

"oh no." stanley said with a slight voice crack. 

"c-come on it w-w-will be f-fun." bill smiled at stanley, who rolled his eyes in response. the bell for the class rang but they all waited for eddie. he came running out of the bathroom to catch up with the three. 

eddie, richie, and bill all walked to their next class together. "guess what we're seeing?" richie said to eddie.

"what?" he was slightly curious but he knew if richie picked it, it probably wouldn't be a movie he liked.

"child's play 3!" he almost yelled with excitement.

"oh fun." eddie said sardonically. "first of all how are we even gonna get in?" eddie asked, obviously not to thrilled about going to a horror movie. 

"we'll f-find a way j-j-just relax eds." bill smiled at eddie giving him some reassurance.

the six boys all rode their bikes to the theater with cash in hand. 

"we'll just get tickets to another movie and sneak into the right showing." richie rested his arm over eddie's shoulder, stan, bill, mike, and ben all followed closely behind.

the group all got their tickets and headed to concessions. "shit." eddie muttered digging into his pockets.

"what is it?" stanley asked. 

"i don't have enough money for popcorn." he admitted feeling a bit guilty. 

"it's okay i'll cover it." richie said with a wide smile. richie got a large popcorn for him and eddie to share while the rest of the boys got their own things.

they walked to the podium where the employee checks the ticket and all had wide grins on their face. there's always that small grin you get when you sneak into a movie. once they all made it into the theater they picked seats at the second to top row. it wasn't as crowded and it had a good view.
