Chapter 2

The next day was probably the most stressful day of my life. I got up pretty late since I wasn't going to school that day. I figured I deserved some coffee since I was kind of tired so I dressed comfortably in a white long sleeve shirt, royal blue blazer, dark jeans, and my black combat boots. I didn't really bother with my hair since it's already straight. I brushed it and added a little black bow to my already dull attire and just fixed my bangs. I picked up my empty backpack making sure to take my wallet, keys, and some money before I left the "house".

I made it to my favorite coffee shop and ordered my usual. I watched as the workers made my coffee and even got a little excited. I loved coffee but it was a luxury. I usually couldn't afford to spend money on a cup of coffee so whenever I actually got coffee it brightened my day.

When my cup was finally ready I began to reach for it but a slender, male hand with long fingers reached for it at the same time. Our hands brushed and I looked up to find a very handsome guy next to me.

He was tall and from the looks of it a musician. He wore a gray hoodie under his black leather jacket, dark jeans, combat boots, and blue scarf. He had long, straight, black hair that fell over his eyes, high angular cheekbones, a sharp jawline and full lips. It was not his appearance that made me fall for him on the spot. His big beautiful brown eyes and long eyelashes made me fall for him. You could see the kindness in his eyes. There were not that many people in my life who had that look of kindness in their eyes. Cathy was one of the few, and now there was this guy. I knew at that moment I needed to get to know him.

"I'm sorry," he said, smiling. "You can take the coffee. I'll just wait for them to make another one." I liked the sound of his voice. It was pleasant, as if I were hearing a song. I didn't want him to stop talking. Not to mention the beautiful smile. It lit up his whole face as well as the whole room. I didn't think it was possible to for someone this handsome to be even more handsome. I tried not to stare too hard and made sure my mouth wasn't hanging open when I saw his expression change.

"Hello?" He asked a little confused as he waved his hand in front of my face. "Are you alright?" When he asked me this I came back to reality and realized what I was doing. I blushed and smiled.

"Sorry! Are you sure? I mean the coffee has your name on it and I don't want to make you wait any longer." I replied.

"No that's fine. It's not like I'm in a hurry to get anywhere. I still have an hour or so until they need me." He smiled again this time it really touched his eyes and I almost lost all composure and fainted right then and there.

"Really? But it's your coffee I'd feel bad knowing I'm the one who took your coffee..."

He pressed the coffee cup in my hands and smiled. I blushed and took the cup from his warm, soft hands.

I was about to take a sip when one of the workers set down my cup of coffee. He picked up my cup of coffee, wrote something on it with a black sharpie and gave it to me. I gave him back his coffee cup and our hands brushed once more, causing me to blush again and my heart to race.

"See you around." He said smiling again as he turned around to leave. I stood there like an idiot watching him walk farther and farther away from me.
