Letter 87

Dear Yoongi,

I came to visit you today. But, I also came because I have a surprise for you.

I had walked up and into your room to find you awake and sitting there staring at nothing.

I was shocked when you said my name.

I had been setting my stuff down in the chair next to your bed when you said it and when I looked up at you, you had moved over to the edge of the bed with your arms extended outwards.

I moved as fast as I could to wrap my arms around you. As soon as I did you dug your head into my neck.

"I missed you yesterday." You whispered.

"I missed you too. I'm sorry I couldn't make it over." You pulled away while shaking your head at me.

"No, Jungkook its fine. I don't expect you to come visit me every day." I had taken this time to study your face. You just keep getting smaller and smaller yet somehow you remain the most beautiful person I have ever saw.

I had slowly leaned forward so that you could prepare yourself for when I kissed you. It was so nice to be able to kiss you again since I wasn't a stranger to you today.

We had pulled away and you pouted at the loss of contact.

I chuckled and asked how you were feeling today. You told me you were doing alright. I then asked if you wanted to go somewhere with me.

(Don't worry I had already asked the doctors if it was alright prior to walking into your room. They said we have two hours at most.)

You happily ran to the bathroom to change your clothes and put on your shoes before we left.

I took you to the same bridge where we shared our first kiss. When we arrived I put on the song 'Wherever You Will Go' by Charlene Soraia.

It is an English song so you were only able to pick out a few lines from it but I had learned it in English and Korean so I just translated it over for you.

I'm sorry for making you cry.

I swear you have never hugged me tighter in all the time we have known each other. Once you had calmed down and pulled away from me I detached myself from you.

You stood and watched as I reached into my pocket and pulled out a little black box. Your eyes had widened as you brought your hands up to cover your mouth that had fell open.

"Min Yoongi, I am in love with you. I know we haven't been together long but, we don't have a lot of time left together either. Before you ask, no this isn't an engagement ring. It is just a promise ring. I know they are meant to be used for couple who are promising  a loving and trusting relationship and marriage but, we unfortunately won't be able to get that far together. So instead, I am here with you today giving you this ring as a way of showing you that I promise to always be here for you. I promise to protect you as much as I can and to always be right by your side. It is also a way to promise you that no matter what happens, I will always love you."

You had teared up even more as I slipped the ring onto your finger. It was just a simple silver band with our initials on the inside of it.

"I love you too, Jungkook. With every single piece of me. I just love you so much." You pulled me into you for a deep kiss. We had stood and made out for a while after that.

Since we still had time left we went back to my house. Both of my parents were at work and I was just planning on us cuddling but that soon changed when we got to my room and you shoved me up against the wall while pushing your lips on mine.

You told me that you wanted to do it one more time. When you said it I was definitely too into the moment to think too deeply about your words. But as we had rode out our highs and laid down next to each other I couldn't help but notice you said 'one more time'.

What did you mean by that? That can't be the last time we do it together. I'm not ready to give you up, Yoongs. You can't leave me just yet.

Eventually we had to get up and head back to the hospital. On our way back we walked as slow as we could with our hands linked together. Neither one of us said anything either, we didn't need to.

I know you love me.

You know I love you.

What more do we need in life?
