Chapter 10

*Matt's POV*

*a week later*

The last week with Meygan was amazing.

We are in California right now and we took nice look walks on the boardwalk, went longboarding together, and went to a carnival.

We are in the hotel room hanging out and just talking. It was good to talk and it gave me time to know her better.

"I think, we should go on our first official date!" I say smiling, looking at her straight in the eyes and playing with her hands.

"I couldn't agree more!" she says smiling and kissing me on the lips.

"Where do you want to go?" I ask

"Woah, you know what would be perfect right now?"

"Tell me." I say grinning

"The beachhhh!" she says "oh oh oh that would be so good!" She says throwing her hands up and dancing. Once again being adorable.

"YASSSS!! Just you and me." I said interlocking my fingers with hers

*Meygan's POV*

*around 7:30*

Me and Matt finally get ready and head for the beach.

I was wear a Nashty shirt with Hollister shorts and baby blue vans and a turban twist and Matt wears khaki shorts and an Aaron Carpenter shirt.

We get there and parked and saw

there's not even a car in the lot.

Perfect.

We settle down on a spot and lay down.

I place my head on his chest and can hear his heart beat. It was going fast. A little too fast if you ask me.

We sat there is silence and I soon began to drift off to sleep.

I was woken up suddenly by an eager Matt shaking me softly, but still firmly.

"Wake Matt what happened?" I ask kinda annoyed.

"Look at the sunset, its so beautiful." he says in awe.

"Yeah it's gorgeous!" I say slowly adjusting to my surroundings

"But not NEARLY as gorgeous as you!" He says kissing my cheek.

He quickly comes to his feet and brings me to mine.

He grabs my waist and looks at me in the eyes.

"I adore you." he says grabbing my face and kissing my lips for a good, long, minute.

He takes my right hand spins me around twice and we waltz around the beach.

I laugh as he spins me around and lifts me up bridal style.

When he carries me bridal style, he spins me around and our eyes never break contact. We smile at each other.

He slowly puts me down and we circle around each other, still never breaking eye contact.

*Matt's POV*

We stare at each other smiling for at least 2 minutes.

When all of a sudden, she blots in the opposite direction.

What is she doing?

I began to run after her and come closer and closer.

I guess she didn't realize how close I was because when she saw me she began running faster.

"Babe stop! your making me tired!"

"You'll have to come and catch me!" she said teasing me.

She makes an automatic left towards to ocean and hops on the rocks and climbs to the top. She was so far up ahead of me and I felt ashamed.

She was already on the top and here i am still not even close to the rock.

I see a shadowy figure dressed in all black come up from behind her and push her in from the 100 foot cliff knocking her right into the water.

Oh my god!

I began to sprint into the water taking my phone out of my pocket and dropping it on the sand before entering.

I swim as fast as my body would let and finally come and meet her body face down in the water.

"MEYGAN??!!" I yell and grab her.

Her eyes are barely shut and she has cuts and blood all over her face.

"Meygan, stay with me! Stay strong!" I say as her eyes slowly begin to shut.

I swim me and her back to shore and rest her body on the sand and grab my phone.

"911 what's your emergency?" a lady's voice says

"My girlfriend was pushed off a cliff and into the ocean I need an ambulance here now!" I demand yelling into the phone and hang up.

I move over to Meygan.

"Meygan, stay with me, you can fight this!" I say putting my hand against her cheek.

Her hand stealthily holds onto mine when she says

"I don't know about fighting it, but just know, when I'm gone, I will be waiting for you in heaven!" she says.

"Don't talk like that! You'll fight it! don't say that!" I say as her eyes seal shut.
